Me, seeing someone I know turn 50: "huh, weird... They didn't used to be 20 years older than me.... Only like 13... But here we are, with me being only 30 and them 50 now..." Strange how that happens. I am not taking feedback.

PhD Examiner's reports: "We want to particularly draw attention to the quality of writing and clarity in explaining complex ideas in an accessible manner, especially the third paper" Springer's AI: "Writing score 5/10. Mediocre" Absolutely not lol

It is extremely pleasing to my soul to see that the planning permission to turn my old local pub into rubbish houses has been withdrawn after some strongly worded letters!

It's been 8 years of it occuring pretty frequently... However, I am still caught off-guard that people in DACH countries often see my name and assume I'm an asian woman...

I made 55 open participation slots on the calendar. One of them was a mistake, accidentally over-lapping with another session. I had one person sign up in the first 5 minutes it went live... Guess which session of the 55 they picked?

Being visibly bored in assembly. I think the teacher had a bit of a change of heart, I turned up for lunch-time detention and he just sort of went "hmm well... You didn't complain about the punishment so I assume you won't do it again, off you go"

This site has now become naught but doom-scrolling. Not sure I can handle the endless stream of bleak.

Its siren test day!

The thing about science is that if a phenomenon such as climate science weren’t real, they wouldn’t need an executive order forbidding its study. The better we explain the social processes of science, the clearer it will be to everyone that this EO is an admission that climate change is real.
