I will never understand how it’s simultaneously possible to be inundated with insurance ads with Jake, Doug, an emu, a gecko, a caveman, mayhem, Flo, Jamie, Dr. Rick, a wax mannequin, and JK Simmons AND be told that this industry is struggling to deliver on the service it offers, is exiting markets

@govpritzker.bsky.social I’ve been trying to call IL Dept of Human Svcs at 800-843-6154 repeatedly and it instantly returns a busy signal. How can this be okay? Who do we even contact to raise awareness of this issue? Is a IDHS call center sitting idle right now wondering why no one is calling?!

Angers me, these posts joking about this UnitedHealth CEO murder. I despise our HC system, and that’s impossible to decouple from the private insurers that make it so terrible. It does not mean I’m going to gloat or make tasteless jokes about their CEO being gunned down in broad daylight. Shameful.
