playing reasonably well but losing convincingly is a really bad habit to get into. the football just feels very dated very quickly, and some of the players just don't have the technique. liverpool haven't had to do a lot for their two goals, whereas we work our arses off for the little we create.

obviously there's logic to guardiola's comments about players who are regularly not available, but for me it ducks accountability. it's him who has always insisted on a smaller squad, and it's either his choice (we're told) or the board's (more likely) that we tapered down senior recruitment.
