I gave an inch. Can you give an inch?

So so so so close!!

Good point! Thanks to reps like Frost, Crockett, Waters, and others for showing up to take action & also strategizing for the long term ahead

I would like to see my reps putting their physical bodies in the way of the current coup. South Korean legislators climbed walls to save their country from a coup. Why is physical interference not an option when the US treasury is literally being looted? Why are dems bringing lawsuits to a gunfight?

These are the same picture.

What we are all experiencing is called "resilience targeting." It is a deliberate attack favored by many of todays shitlords, and is a fairly well known theory in disinfo and climate circles; it's just that everyone seems to be in denial that it's an attack. Today might be a good day to read up

But can they kill enough of us?

If ICE comes for you, know your rights: www.aclu.org/know-your-ri... If you're an organization dealing with an ICE raid, here's a toolkit based on real-world scenarios: www.nilc.org/wp-content/u... If you see ICE coming for someone else, protect your neighbors, or they're coming for you, next.

A ceasefire is great news except for the fact that it hasn’t ceased Israeli fire.

Offered to give my parents a speech or essay about the existence of billionaires. They declined.

Yeah democracy was cool bc you cd produce these reports, man, like Mueller and Jan 6 and Jack Smith. Reports, man, I miss those reports

If it can give you courage when you need it, here is a good boy

“Discomfort is not a virtue”—me to my neighbor just now, whose house is 45 degrees and doesn’t need to be

Many of my most important life lessons happened in Ithaca. But one of them was def how to drive a stickshift on hills in the snow. Overhearing wheels spinning in Durham with 2 ins rn

“In order to shoot off one email per week for a year, ChatGPT would use up 27 liters of water, or about one-and-a-half jugs… that means if one in 10 U.S. residents—16 million people—asked ChatGPT to write an email a week, it’d cost more than 435 million liters of water.”

It’s always hard when friends leave town. Sometimes I get plants. Sometimes it’s hard when I get plants.

Living in a state of dissociation as survival for a long time, might have stumbled upon a new poem. Take it when it comes.

“Please translate to old auntie language” is a thing I just requested of my gen z niece

Eye exam today. I told my doc abt epiphany based on recent need to take glasses off & put my eyeball close to a thing (menu, phone, etc), & after 40+ years of eye exams, I now understand what I’ve been doing wrong the whole time. 1/

This is a great tutorial for alt text on bluesky. Note that in addition to making your images readable to more users, alt text allows discovery of your images in a text search!

A beautiful visualization of the passing of time

I love that last-minute fam holiday situation comes w request to neither give nor receive gifts.

I love and appreciate that my bluesky feed is expertly curated by … me, but I’m going to need more cat content or something if I’m going to survive the next … let’s say YEAR

Sister sent unannotated vid of choir i correctly assumed was niece’s, but audio was only oohs & aahs and a deep voice saying, “james, james…” apparently “bond,” but I heard “Baldwin,” so i have both gratitude and questions

This micropoem goes hard. Damn.
