Do not neglect the subhead.

Saw some reply on here about the needs of IAEA inspections going forward. Iran has already signaled they were working to pull out of the NPT and *now* are making the case the strike gives them the footing to do so. Please be serious.

Thinking about doing FULL CAPS for unneeded emphasis on my performance appraisals going forward. Optional comments: Thank you for your attention.

Some dipshit in my replies going on about how SpaceX can achieve great things if "earthling" technology allows it b/c they have THE BEST👌engineers A kid with an Estes kit has roughly an equal chance of landing on the moon in our lifetimes as Starship does. That is, zero. Nevermind 2027 or whatever

Starship is Going Great (Your Tax Dollars at Work!)™©®: - 36 was a "static test" to prep for a full test flight - The test stand is basically a crater - SpaceX is characterizing it as a "major anomaly;" Elon downplays per usual - They kept referring to the design as "V2." Like, read the room...

at first people were reasonably satisfied with just using a little tube with a lens on each side but then got carried away with a bigger tube so long it had to be mounted followed by a tube so massive a special building supports it now it's super high tech this is the original example of scope creep

Thanks, I hate it.

I finished "For All Mankind" last night (solid, but got kinda absurd at the end) so I am appreciating the Elon drama to fill the dinner time void.

Elon threatening to just leave people on the ISS is making a pretty good case for why you nationalize your space program!

Stayed up too late playing "A Little to the Left" and will now suffer the consequences. Found it accidentally. It's classified as a "cozy game" (though I clearly found it activating). Highly recommend if you want something casual to pick up/put down and if, like me, you're *really* into patterns.

*"know of an organization that will" (Asking for an edit button, devs...)

Home health/nursing can't administer shots. Does anyone know of and administer vaccinations to people who are homebound? This was a thing when we were all taking COVID seriously, but now... 🤷‍♀️ Location is SF Bay Area East Bay (Alameda County).

Howdy, all; could use some help: looking to get my mom a COVID booster. She's still bedbound and not quite at the point for wheelchair xfers, yet. Non-emergency med gurney transport runs about $300 each way and isn't covered by Medicare. We asked last time she was at ER, but they won't do it there.

For "peasant" values of "we." Reminder: these people have their healthcare largely covered by govt subsidies to the tune of approximately 75%. You're paying for the majority of their Gold ACA plan premiums. See how this works?

Starship is Going Great (Your Tax Dollars at Work!)™©®: - Lost contact with Super Heavy Booster, no "soft landing" ("not unexpected" = cope) - Couldn't open the payload doors to deploy the mock SL satellites - Leaks inside, loss of attitude control, borked for re-entry & heat shield diagnostics

This is absolutely fucking wild and how you kill any hope of fostering intellectual curiosity. This kind of shit makes kids resent learning for the sake of figuring out something cool.

1 in 5 Americans depend on Medicaid for health insurance, but they don't all know they're on it because it may go by another name (e.g., Medi-Cal, Apple, BadgerCare). I identified the name of each state's Medicaid program. If you or someone you love is in one of these programs, call 202-224-3121.

Californians: PLEASE call your State representatives and oppose the reinstatement of the Medi-Cal & IHSS $2000 asset limit. Forced poverty for benefits helps nobody, and that limit hasn't been changed since 1980 (it would be $7786 adjusted for inflation)… 1/2

Look, more manufactured moral quandaries to keep people from thinking about actual injustices.

Had a nightmare I applied to, and was admitted for, another physics PhD. AND I ACCEPTED??? 😭
