Submission Grinder is having intermittent issues today that can cause extreme slowness or for pages not to load at all. We are aware of the issue and we are trying to find a resolution. Suggest that right now is a good time to do something else and we'll do our best to get things sorted.

This is a poem from a long while ago, but I don't know if I ever publicized it myself (at least not on Bluesky). "It Takes Time for the Body" was published in @thedeadlands.com back in issue #25. It's not about death, per se, but the body wearing out as our souls wear in.

I have a story out today! "If I Have Defects, Am I Defective?" is about an android factory worker reprimanded for molding a defective cup, who struggles with remaining true to themself: short-edition.com/en/story/sho... Also check out the other lovely Short Circuit Issue 16 stories, threaded below

Highly commended in the Welkin Mini 2025. "A Parable of Slow Songs" by @thisisguan.bsky.social. Congratulations, Guan. A rich tapestry of a micro that unfolds over centuries in such a dazzling fashion: www.mattkendrick.co.uk/welkin-prize...

What’s your favorite semi-pro SFF magazine? Asking for Reasons That Will Become Clear. But mostly I just want to read some more great magazines, especially those that might be a little more under the radar. (My favorites are @heartlines-spec.com and @fusionfragment.bsky.social.)

Morning, goobers! Did you know @ericfomley.bsky.social and I have a flash collection of Robot Stories? It came out yesterday! I tend to get emotional with robots, and Eric has his own Robotic Darkness inside, so it's a really cool collection! :D Proceeds go to resisting AI through making more art!

First they came for the immigrants, and I spoke out, because I’ve read the damn poem before and I know how it ends.
