Thanks for sharing! We definitely need more research on cognitive outcomes in ECT

Thank you for tagging! I had not come across this. We desperately need more public awareness of this condition.

I found this paper by Awais very helpful as it traces the history of psychiatric diagnosis. More about “how” and “why” diagnosis arose than “what” diagnosis is but I really think it provides the context needed as a learner to start asking the deeper questions. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33047992/

Thank you! Lots of your papers popping up in this research. Thanks for doing so much of the thinking about how to teach psychiatry residents philosophy! Makes it much easier for me

I do plan to include non-official propositions. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate them!

An update: the best, most concise, and most specific resource on this topic I have found so far is pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33047992/
By @awaisaftab.bsky.social and Elizabeth Ryznar!

That would be excellent. I feel that history, philosophy, and ethics in psychiatry are the most important under-taught subjects in the field compared to the depth of scholarship that is out there. Trying to teach myself now so I can teach others!
