Hi all, We’re still here at OPM. We have a situation where we MIGHT, and I do mean, MIGHT have four of Elon’s people blocked from the building. Can we get press or a member of Congress down here? We’ve blocked them for two hours and they keep coming back and trying to go in.

Something we need to reckon with: center left organizations don’t know how to do anything but ask for money. My inbox is filled with pleas for donations and yes money matters but so does showing up at town hall meetings and school board meetings and the state house and calling congress.

I’m suspicious of people who keep telling us to be calm because the administration is just “flooding the zone.” As if these policy directives won’t have real impacts. Fighting fascism is exhausting, but don’t trust people who say you don’t need to.

I told colleagues that if I wanted to illegally end Medicaid I would simply turn off payments to the states. That’s what happened yesterday. Thankfully the public outcry worked. But I don’t doubt they will try again. We have to keep it up.
