i don't think super star and dream land 3 are in competition with each other. they represent the two sides of the coin that keeps me coming back to kirby. super star is frenetic and exciting, dream land 3 is methodical and introspective, and both are wonderful. they're summer and winter girlfriends

moved on to dream land 3 earlier and finished ripple field just now. i absolutely love it and playing it back to back to super star makes me realize just how important and influential both are to the series, equally so. DL3 has some of the most clever level design and puzzles in the whole series

damn the arena in the original kirby super star is way tougher than i remember. i think i'm not used to how loose this version's combat feels compared to ultra. i think that's a great aspect of it that sets it apart from its remake but man is it a challenge x_x
