This is a very good and sobering story that urges Europeans in particular that they cannot trust America now and need to make changes for themselves—and especially Ukraine. @anneapplebaum.bsky.social

God is love. God is good. God is powerful. But God is not forceful and God is not magic. johnpavlovitz.substack.com/p/no-christi...

Idaho, time to start calling the governor. HB 93 needs his VETO. Call 208 334 2100. Touch 1 for the bill, and then 2 to ask him to VETO. This is the horrendous school voucher bill that will devastate public schools. (I had to try several times to get through, FYI)

The Idaho 97 is anti-Racism. We are pro-women. We support America’s LGBTQIA+ communities. We are for religious freedom. Most of all, we are pro-Constitution. Therefore, by default, we oppose the current administration and its efforts to attack, erase, and destroy these things. #idpol #resist

Oh I love this

The Stonewall Inn released a response to the National Parks Service removing the word transgender from the park outside of the Inn. A great reminder that we have to look after each other

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.

The removal of a transgender reference from the National Park Service’s Stonewall website wasn’t done by NPS staff. Elon, care to elaborate?

Vaccines DO NOT cause autism. But what the autistic people in your life hear when you spread that widely debunked misinformation is that you would prefer to have a child die a painful death from eradicated communicable disease than to be like them. That's nasty work. Hope this helps!

Giant snowstorm, and the birds are outside chirping it up like we had a spring thundershower. Weird.

Proud to be one of the 350 rabbis signing this statement — an ad in the NYT today and a declaration of our values. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025... For more—and to sign— go to saynotoethniccleansing.org

It's an act of resistance and opposition!

Today’s TO DO: This bill will especially impact married women who took their husbands’ last name as well as the poorest, the oldest and the disabled.

Here come the states, picking up the pieces of what The Regime would destroy. New York State will be providing weekly global health updates. globalhealthreports.health.ny.gov

My testimony on HB 59, the Medical Defense Act. This bill lets providers deny care based on personal beliefs. This targets gender-affirming care & is dangerous for everyone. If they won’t do their job, that’s failure. Next up it goes to the House floor for a vote. www.instagram.com/reel/DFv_L5m...

I signed.

You aren't letting anyone down by taking a day off from the news. The shitshow will be there tomorrow. Others can churn rage on your behalf while you breathe and keep yourself safe. You are not doing patriotism wrong by ensuring you don't lose your mind every single moment of every single day.

Seems to me this is a valid place to be putting energy into

I know all of us who understand what is happening are experiencing mental health challenges because of that. The only message of comfort I can offer to this community of readers is this: you are correct. What you think is happening is really happening, and is just as concerning as you think it is.

For what it’s worth, when I spent years in Afghanistan and Iraq, the most powerful thing I ever saw was USAID digging wells & repairing schools. The most effective power we will ever have.

I really don’t think it’s happenstance that pretty much every remaining institutional safeguard broke down within 15 years of Citizens United

taking the opportunity to remind people that posting is not activism and now is as good a time as any to reflect on what material good you've actually done to help people in need. if you feel targeted by this, good. do something about it. change why you feel like you haven't done enough.

I am also encouraging folks to contact Senator Guthrie directly to ask him to hold HJM1 from committee. He has authority to do that. He is chair of the Senate State Affairs committee.

Happy Black History Month, and yeah, we're still doing that.

I fall under the category of DEI because I have a physical disability that makes it harder for me to work a full time job. I still had to earn my current job via merit. All DEI programs do is make sure that people who face challenges in the workplace get the support they need to best do their job.

Random thought: let's say you did vote for a dictator because that's really what you thought was the best thing. And this shit-for-brains is who you chose? You're stupider than you look.
