The packaging tried. 🤣

“Are you core hounding this pack?” — when I see my hubby ignore the mobs at 10 to 20%. 🤣

When heroes need rescuing.

Perhaps it’s time to start a coping through existential crisis playlist. tr.ee/smSkKvrTEN

Today, passengers of American Airlines flight 3112 from LAS to LAX were ordered to deplane because a “box cutter” was found onboard, according to a pilot announcement. Other staff referred to it as “a weapon onboard”.

I retract my previous statement. I don’t mind the person who brought french fries on board. I mind whoever brought a knife on board. Hackles are up. Most scared I’ve ever been to fly, and most ready I’ve ever been to defend.

Whoever just boarded this plane with fresh french fries and didn’t bring enough for all of us: how dare you. 😩🍟

Dear hiring managers: triple check the filters your recruiting team is using. An HR contact just told me they wanted a VP of Marketing with an engineering degree only.

I needed more of that song. Let the lyrics linger in the collective conscious a bit more. Give a beat to make the transition from a humdrum day (and 2025) to a joyous one more evident. NERDS delivered a benign but pleasant spot that begs their marketing team to "unleash" its messaging potential.

Heading to #DICE! DM me if you'd like to catch up during the show.

"You cannot separate the employee experience from the customer experience. You cannot." — Erica Anderson Rooney on AI adoption, December 2024

"Freedom is for everybody." "There are real heroes in the world, but not the ones in the movies. Real heroes are humble. They're not driven by pride. Pride is a terrible driver." Absolutely brilliant ad from Jeep that touches on its values, inspires the viewer, and even gives a bit of humor.

"Whatever you do, you can't win. So win." Hands down favorite commercial. Thank you, Nike. So much frustration, determination, resilience, and perseverance captured in that ad. #SuperBowlCommercials

Wut. was. that. The Totinos spot made my hubby chuckle, but it didn't quite land for me. We needed more Chazmo and less of the adults.

Phenomenal roast of Starbucks by Dunkin. "Sounds like what's in my garbage disposal" "How much to wait a half hour to get my name spelled wrong on the cup?" "You can just brew it. It's beans and water." #SuperBowlCommercials

#KeepHerConfident. As usual, Dove delivers a powerful spot. My relationship with my legs has evolved so much over the years, from appreciating their "unstoppable" strength when bicycling and swimming to the "unbearable" thoughts and self-criticisms to being so thankful I can walk again.

"Don't eat lava." — insert metaphors here for warnings we shouldn't have needed. Nice subtle way to make everyone need therapy chocolate, Reese's. 🤪 #SuperBowlAds

🤣 "The ULTRA Hustle" is hilarious. The line "superior is worth playing for" is a coy nod to an underlying message: that superior is worth paying for. I'm not keen on any beer, but any brand that can pull off a L'Oreal "because you're worth it" type message is smart. Kudos to the marketing team!

Kudos to the Oreo marketing team for creating an ad that made me actually want to look up more about the product. Also appreciating the coding here through the visualization of flavors swirling together. #SuperAds

I'm not sure that I'd quite compare Baja blast to a kiss from a lime. To what extent is this the brand trying to associate a natural ingredient with a peculiar flavor? To what extent does it actually taste like lime to people? #SuperAds

The Pepsi Challenge spot fell flat. Reminding folks of 1975 hits a bit close to 1973. They were so close to a "Your Taste, Your Choice" moment, but they missed the opportunity for something more meaningful and elevated, even if coded.
