Democratic leadership has had brand "smart" for years that often boils down to "sit on hands and deliberate, think it over". This is the equivalent to a chess player who tries best to defend while not advancing any kind of offense, even when opponent blunders. It's no way to win, and it isn't smart

I simply do not understand why more politicians fail to see this as an obviously good move. Reminds me of cars in Pike Place Market in Seattle - nobody likes that policy, it's low hanging fruit just sitting there for the first person that aggressively pushes on it to benefit and lead the news cycle

OH MY GOD NICKERSON IS HORRIBLE AS A PEDESTRIAN. This street is in desperate need of MORE road diet, not less, absolute nightmare being anywhere near it on foot or on bike - or even in a car! Stressful for all involved! Horrible design
