basic vulnerability research taxonomy because apparently a lot of people don't get it: bug = a defect (usually in software or hardware) vulnerability = a security-relevant bug exploit = a method/tool for using a vulnerability to achieve some goal, against the intent of the system designers

Underrated comparison point between Russia and Israel is that they both have virtually no realistic offramps in their respective, near-constant escalatory behavior. They demand things which are impossible and they use it as pretext for doing things in turn which are, on the whole, also impossible.
