I always really liked Gene Hackman. Versatile and relatable 'everyman', even when playing the bad guy. It's funny, he is quoted as saying he had "always been convinced that actors had to be handsome" - but there was some genuine charisma and warmth he had, that all those 'handsome' faces lacked.

Roses are red Dead is romance...

Wow, this one sounds amazing.

Going deeper into Tomita territory...

A lovely (if very crackly) start to the day.

In Cheltenham, flea market record stall, brother in law picks out a Tomita record and asks if I have it. I do, and say there's only a few left to get... a while later, find a record shop. They have a rare Japanese import Sound Creature, the 1984 live album, Grand Canyon, & Dawn Chorus. Yay!!

I finally got some time to do a #Disquiet Junto - first time in ages! A bit of berlin school, with one voice drenched in reverb, and the other dry (and the third, half wet!) #disquiet0683 soundcloud.com/ikjoyce/spac...

Happy gotcha day to Tux and Sumi! A year already?

You there- get me those figures. And a treat.

And so to bed. Nos da, pawb x

... then Craig Armstrong to finish.

And to chill after that, one of the most beautiful records in our collection- Goldfrapp "Tales of Us". Gorgeous.

Rose went for some classic Trojan women to follow- brilliant compilation.

Sometimes these random punk compilations are the best records. This was a great recent find at the brilliant @noiseannoys78.bsky.social

I have a really annoying earworm going round my head. It starts out as "I Dont Like Mondays" by the Boomtown Rats... but then morphs into the theme from Rentaghost. "The silicon chip inside her head Gets switched to overload And nobody's gonna go to school today... Rentaghost.

Well, at least I don't have to post in two places now.

Ohm Sweet Ohm What a fabulous piece of music.
