Years of work came to fruition today with the signing into law of Karina's Law, improving the Illinois Domestic Violence Act, by helping the courts and law enforcement to work together in ensuring that firearms are actually removed from domestic abusers. #Progress abc7chicago.com/post/illinoi...

We are profoundly saddened by the passing of Bertha Purnell, a gun violence survivor, mom, advocate, former Alliance Board Member and peaceful warrior. Illinois has lost a unique voice calling out for justice and peace. Her friendship and wisdom cannot be replaced.
