Despite valiant efforts, the climate denial movement is stronger with the re-election of the Denier-in-Chief. This struggle is far from over ... but the longer it takes ... the worse it gets ... for EVERYONE ... generations will suffer. For more read routledge.com/Climate-Deni...

One of the most depressing things about these results is just how much the median voter does not give a damn about anyone else, they do not care about minorities, they do not care about people abroad, all they want is their lives to be comfy at the cost of everyone else’s lives.

I can’t believe I’m alive when the USA moved from being a democracy to a theocratic dictatorship. Glad I don’t live there, because I would be one of the first to be strung to the wall for existing. Why do people choose hate, it makes the world a worse off place.

Last night’s tour guide, Jonas, a Germany-born poli-sci student in Amsterdam said: “The whole world is watching you guys; and, frankly, we’re scared for you. It’s like déjà-vu. You must stop trump before he does permanent damage. Please! Stop him!” Me: We’re trying! 1 of 2

This was a fascinating 12 min video on “sadopopulism”… a theory behind how oligarchs get and maintain power. It talks about how “Make America Great AGAIN” is about taking us back to a time when we had more racism, sexism, discrimination & suffering. Oligarchs cause pain & don’t seek to unify:

"The decision not to publish was made by The Post’s owner — Amazon founder Jeff Bezos." I worked at the paper for seven years and Bezos never interfered with a thing. This is five-alarm fire stuff. www.washingtonpost.com/style/media/...

This would be pretty devastating to lose. All of my fungal living collections from my PhD are stored here, but it's not just a personal (for me) loss. It would be a tragedy for Canadian pharmaceutical innovation. I also own that board game, and highly recommend it! www.cbc.ca/news/science...

Getting worried that these assholes are eventually, maybe sooner than later, gonna force the spilling of blood.
