For clarification: I honestly think I have a brain tumor at this point, a lot of symptoms line up with it, but there's no confirmation yet. My seizures are definitely doing serious damage though, and I am absolutely getting worse.

People who play evil routes have been taken advantage of WAYYY too much. Self-preservation is a concept they can only exercise in fantasy, and making a fictional character hurt the way they have been hurting is exceptionally cathartic. Finally, they can say no. They get agency.

In my honest experience, people who play good routes and cannot stand being evil are people who have been in situations where they spent a long time without being shown unconditional human kindness. The thought of refusing to help, having lived in helplessness, HURTS.
