Kneecap shouldn’t be the story. The ongoing genocide in Gaza should be the story. #FreePalestine Some strong points here from @irvinewelsh.bsky.social theface.com/society/irvi...

"Every time Palestinians have gathered at the distribution point... many of them have been killed... its putting people in cages in such a humiliating way while they're desperate for food... it is everything but humanitarian" Tamara Alrifai from UNRWA on the US/Israeli GHF

🚨BREAKING: We’re deeply concerned at the use of counter terrorism powers to target protest groups. This is the latest in a succession of measures taken by the UK government to clamp down on protest in the UK.

Dan Johnson: "the civil defence in Gaza, which is run by Hamas, saying..." "Run by Hamas". The Israeli govt is run by a wanted war criminal, but BBC News presenters & journalists never say that when they repeat Israeli statements & claims.

Today, more starving Palestinians were lured into “aid distribution sites”. They went in hope that they might find a bag of flour. They were gunned down and murdered instead. What utter inhumanity. End all arms sales to Israel, now.

Private equity celebrates UK govt capitulation. Chancellor promised to tax bosses share of profits as income, backtracks and will tax it as capital gains, at lower rates than wages. Govt cutting disability benefits Asset-stripping private equity behind closure of 60% of high street retailers.

Israeli forces have killed at least 48 people in Gaza today. This is twice the number of Israelis that have been killed in 4 days of bombing by Iran, but on the UK mainstream news today we've had wall to wall coverage about Israelis & almost nothing on Palestinians.

The neoliberal austerity guy who fucked us an economic force by impoverishing a generation and further enriching transnational corporate elites, precipitating a neo-fascist backlash led by techno-feudal oligarchs is the good guy. Right. Got you.

Adil Ray: "A lot of people will be concerned that the UK are supplying component parts to Israel, & Israel are being accused of a genocide in Gaza, and are now acting unilaterally against Iran. Are you worried about the British position because in the end Britain are arming them"

Last week, Wael Al-Dahdouh delivered a speech to UK journalists compelling them to use their platforms to speak out against Israel's genocide in Gaza or risk complicity in genocide. #AmnestyMediaAwards #Gaza #Palestine

NEW: A Norwegian company has drawn up plans for Britain’s first deep-sea salmon farm in waters off Shetland, prompting concerns it is an “experiment in factory farming” that could damage the environment. theferret.scot/norwe...

Stephen Nolan "You sound angry" Victoria Rose "I am.. the footage is everywhere. I don't understand why we are still actively supporting it. This is the needless killing of thousands of children" "But we are not actively supporting it" "We are by financing weaponry to Israel"

Every single time the BBC and other media talk about the 'war in Gaza' I think the same - there is no war, there are not two armies fighting, there is mass destruction of a civilian population in which Hamas exist. The weaponry and violence from one side is unrelenting. No humanity.

Support @jeremycorbyn.bsky.social's calls for a public inquiry into British involvement in the Gaza genocide 🇵🇸 ✍Write to your MP and ask them to support accountability for the crimes against humanity inflicted on the Palestinian people: thecorbynproject.com/gazainquiry

The paperwork shows the building currently owned by a student letting company. Assuming Council don't intend to buy the building, is plan to change use and then pay owner to make use of the accommodation. I have a sneaky theory that this pivot is part of the industry masterplan for the PBSA racket

Yesterday Israel murdered at least 80 Palestinians. So far this morning they've murdered 14 more. But for our mainstream media some lives are more important than others.

But the problem at the BBC is a sports presenter, right?

"Labour licensed exports of more military equipment to Israel in the final three months of 2024 than the Tories did for all of 2020-2023, new figures have revealed" Absolutely morally bankrupt.

I'd like to tweet a clip of BBC London reporting on 500,000 people marching through the city in support of Palestine, but they didn't cover it. They did, however, have time to tell us that Camden council have approved new cycle lanes on Shaftsbury Avenue.

"Every UN humanitarian agency said this was not a humanitarian plan, this was a military plan, this was a cynical plan to corral people, & it contravened every humanitarian principle one can imagine" Michael Fakhri, UN Rapporteur on the Right to Food, on Israels plan.

We’re back at the High Court to intervene in the case brought by Al Haq & GLAN to demand the UK Gov end ALL arms exports to Israel. Not a few. Not thirty. ALL. The UK has a legal obligation to prevent genocide - and right now Keir Starmer's gov is failing. #StopArmingIsrael #EndGazaGenocide

Simply this.

15 years on, 230,000 badgers dead, and no meaningful reduction in bTB in cattle. Lets end the cull now, not years down the line. Sign the petition govpetition.uk/700317

The government is yet to respond to our call for a public inquiry into the UK’s involvement in the war on Gaza. This shocking report could explain why. When will the government come clean about the reality of arms exports to Israel?

I’m honoured to have been shortlisted for Amnesty’s People’s Choice Award. If you want to support the work we’ve been doing covering Israel’s genocide, you can vote here: www.amnesty.org.uk/cast-your-vote #amnestymediaawards

UNICEF's Tess Ingram: "I've been to Gaza many times over the last 18mths & every time I was there I thought, this is the worst it can possibly get, but now, this is the worst it has been. We're at more than 9 weeks with not a single drop of water or Grain of wheat entering Gaza"
