The cover art I did for the German edition of The Knight and The Moth by Rachel Gillig was recently revealed! Very proud of this one! ✨

Did a little work on the Constantine piece today. Still have quite a bit left to do, but it's coming together! Working in Rebelle 5. Still recording the timelapse, so part 2 of that video will be coming out after I finish the painting.

Here’s how the final print turned out for Bell’s Hells! I’ll have 50 of the large format prints with me in Artist Alley at C2E2 this weekend! #bellshells #criticalrole #c2e2

Starting the color glazing process on the John Constantine portrait today. Still working in Rebelle 5. I haven't used this underpainting/glazing technique before so we'll see how this turns out!

Wanted to record a quick painting I was doing just because it's fun.

Putting it all together! #bellshells #criticalrole #c2e2

In the coming months, I'm going to be getting active on YouTube. For now I'll mostly be uploading timelapse videos, but I might try out some tutorials now and again if I feel up to the task. Timelapses will be of both my drawing/painting work and my Daz 3D work.

Did I stay up till one in the morning making a timelapse video for YouTube? Yes. Yes, I did. Here's the video showing the first part of the John Constantine piece. This is still just the underpainting; I'll be starting to add color soon with a part 2. #artsky #digitalart #rebelle #johnconstantine

I am, in fact, arting today. Here's our favorite disaster magician, John Constantine. WIP; finished up the underpainting. He's too far over to the left though; gonna need to scoot him over before adding color. I've been capturing the timelapse, so when it's done I'll share that!

We've been back home for about a week. Still in the throes of unpacking hell-- chaos & boxes everywhere. Utterly exhausted & pacing myself so I don't completely crash. Planning to get fully back into creating fun things after we're settled in and I can recover my strength. But it's nice to be home.

We're moving into our newly finished house over the weekend and Monday. I'll be getting back to doing art again after the dust settles a bit. I have some long-overdue WIP projects to complete for some people, and then I am going to open for Daz Studio commissions.

freaky bone shit is NOT my problem, forearms are made of DIAMOND AND CUBE

Wait till they hear how every famous painter always had models posing or just straight up painted on site. Mucha was super into photos and would put grids on prints to copy them. Rembrandt used camera obscura. There are no rules to art and anyone who tells you otherwise doesn’t want you to succeed.

Please stop using the planet destroying slop machine that is generative AI. No, it's not okay to use it for leftist or progressive causes. You don't stand with the working class or marginalized people by stealing their art without compensation.

Just a little update thread.

Getting fucking annoyed at all the posts I'm seeing on bsky saying "hey, don't say FAFO to trump voters who are having buyer's remorse! Let's all sing kumbaya and welcome them in!"

Still here. I've been lurking. Mental health has tanked after *waves at everything* but I'm surviving. I just haven't had the oomph to do anything creative. We'll be moving back into the house in early March. After that, maybe I'll have enough of a sense of normalcy to start doing things again.

In a sentence never before uttered by humans, I am delighted to share that an alligator stole my conservation instructor’s hat by jauntily walking into the water while wearing it 🐊

We just got back from shooting more of our Queer/Trans paranormal investigation show, and I cannot wait for you to see what we did. Have you watched our pilot yet? Have you shared it with a friend? This show feels more importsnt than ever YouTube.com/@TeamLiminal #Queer #Paranormal #Lgbtq #Ghosts

I'm not very functional right now. Creative things will resume... sometime. I hope.

If you say we abandon red states, you kill a lot of dear friends of mine so fuck right off with that. We don't leave gerrymandered, vulnerable, decent people behind because of a zip code, you sanctimonious dicks.

vamps

Heads up! The @aclu.org Immigrant Rights Project has an EXCELLENT online resource available in multiple languages to walk immigrants or advocates through various scenarios of encounters with immigration officials or police. It includes contact #s for local ACLU offices. www.aclu.org/know-your-ri...

Hey, I know everything is shit right now. Let things not be shit or about shitty things. We can’t survive on anger and fear. That’s how you get MAGA. Also, space is cool and that coolness can unite all of us.

Artists and writers in 2025 be like

It will save you time and mental energy if you understand that a lot of white people don’t believe anything is racism unless the person doing it is wearing a shirt that says, “I am doing this for a racism.” Plausible deniability is a social survival tool for them in a way it has never been for us.

Empathy is everything.

Apparently empathy and compassion are sins now, and hate is a virtue. I'm pretty sure that's not what Jesus taught.

Snow day!

I'm fucking tired.

Weird that we have to say this, but the government doesn’t get to decide what gender a person is.
