The USA has now become a rogue state. A threat to democracy and world peace. Once an ally, now an adversary to western democracies.

This is how I view us right now too.

Out of all films in the Alien franchise, the 1979 Ridley Scott original is the best of them all, and it still looks fantastic. Even now, 46 years later. #movies #scifi #film

I’m George Takei and I approve of this message.

'This 16-Year-Old Sci-Fi Masterpiece Is a Must-See if You're Obsessed With Severance'... ok 🙂

I’m watching a documentary called ‘Pompeii: The New Dig’. Absolutely fascinating. Highly recommended. #history www.pbs.org/show/pompeii...

Made pickled jalapenos, with added celery, which I find is delicious in the mix. #food #pickling

"Mommy, what's an 'asshat'?" "Well dear, it's red, and in white letters it says, 'Make America Great Again.'"

I’m not overly keen on watching dystopian tv shows, no matter how highly they are regarded, seeing as we’re already living in a fucking dystopia.

I’m really enjoying Assassins Creed Origins! AC Odyssey was for me the ultimate gaming experience. It’s a perfect game. Origins is almost as good. It’s clear that Ubisoft built upon it and fine-tuned, extended and expanded it for Odyssey. Odyssey is everything that Origins is, but more.

Late lunch/early dinner will be deer vorschmack with pickled cucumbers, pickled beetroots, smetana, and over roasted potatoes, carrots, and onions. (I've also bought Fever-Tree tonic, which shall later be mixed with Kyrö Napue Gin for one hell of a Gin & Tonic.)

The sixth post in the Twelvetide series looks at how hunter-gatherer groupings have spilt over to how we process data in a social media environment. This also explains some of the issues I and others have raised with the IDG thecynefin.co/twelfetide-2...

Father Ted is outrageously hilarious! One of the best comedy shows of all time. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father_...

Well, bollocks. Bought a new tv and now Apple TV 4K remote's volume control suddenly doesn't work. Tried all the usual stuff, restarting the remote, pairing it again, restarting/unplugging Apple TV, tried volume control Auto, HDMI -- nothing works. What the actual 🤬🤬🤬?

I loved Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. One of the greatest games I’ve ever played. Now I’m playing AC Origins, which is good, and AC Valhalla, but I can’t get into it like Odyssey and Origins. I’m struggling to find things to do and mostly just wander about the snowy landscape. It feels… different.

The case around oil tankers Eagle-S, which is most certainly responsible for damaging the Estlink-2 undersea cable, is getting even more interesting. It appears that ship was not only involved in sabotage but in espionage, as well.

On the waterfront in Helsinki – a zen regeneration game

So, for the holidays, I started playing both Assassin’s Creed Origins, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. I’m in this for the long haul.

I desire, quite intensely, to see the film version of this. A period piece, but also a road trip movie, with comical disappointments and doubtless hilarious mishaps, as Mouse and Jumbo seek their perfect Christmas dinner.

Some of these are really bad, some of these are pretty good, some of these are at least a bit of fun. But they're all on sale on steam :) For my reviews of a few of them look here: fakehistoryhunter.net/2022/11/14/m...
