WATCH: Trump tells troops he’s restoring army bases to Confederate names — then they cheer as he says he’s going to “liberate” Los Angeles and they boo the governor, the “fake news”, etc. Politicizing the army. If you think things can’t get darker, watch these clips.

Thinking about #ScavengersReign again half a year later

Unironically, I think steve-o would be a better president than at least the last ten. Also it would be funny.

Not even in my dreams am I this beautiful

Great job all the Dems who resisted blowing up the filibuster, out of fear that the Republicans might do it some day. Well guess what, the most predictable thing ever happened.

this will get 1/100 the coverage that a Krasner loss would have but it does tell us that the reform agenda is alive and well despite the best efforts of every elite institution and the whole political system

STAND and DEMAND the immediate return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. BRING HIM HOME! Abrego Garcia is a SMART Local 100 first-year apprentice who was working full-time to support his young family — before he was brutally abducted and illegally deported to El Salvador. SMART General President…

One of the things that makes this poem so striking is the idea that America is a new, distinctive, and extraordinary kind of society — an idea, as I've said before, people in this country used to take for granted and that the right has tried to bury under "Western civilization" claptrap.

America is not crying out for bipartisanship. It is crying out for "nailing these fuckers"--with varying ideas of who is "fuckers".

If they want to run on kitchen table issues they now have no choice but to include restoring the faith of our trade partners. That must imply out of necessity deeply punishing this administration and its collaborators--and that's the bare minimum.

The GOP is handing Dems a loaded gun on anti-corruption, and timid Dems like Jason Crow are doing everything in their power to not shoot them with it. The most nakedly corrupt administration in American history gets a pass on corruption because it's not a kitchen table issue? COME ON.

Upon learning that your own mistake sent an innocent father to a brutal prison where he’s likely to be tortured, anyone with a shred of decency would be overcome with shame and fight like hell to get him back. They think it’s funny. www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

Mahmoud Khalil's new op-ed from detention— "Faced with a movement for divestment they couldn't crush, your trustees opted to set fire to the institution they're entrusted with…History will redeem us, while those who were content to wait on the sidelines will be forever remembered for their silence."

We are speedrunning the Declaration of Independence, folks.

NEW: Tufts files a declaration in support of Rümeysa Öztürk: "The University has no information to support the allegations that she was engaged in activities at Tufts that warrant her arrest and detention." www.tufts.edu/president/sp...

No, this is easy. You support gay/trans rights matter-of-factly. You don't even have to lead with it. You don't have to emphasize kitschy platitudes in service of it. When brought up it's simple firmness, nonnegotiable; something so plain it's absurd that it warrants any address. As it should be.

Boston Municipal Court Judge Mark Summerville made the ruling Monday after ICE agent Brian Sullivan detained Wilson Martell-Lebron last week, arguing that doing so deprived the defendant of his rights to due process and a fair trial.
