Must be a proud day for that cop to be arresting an elderly vet for sitting down where he shouldn’t!

“Money for people, not parades!” say U.S. Veterans who held a sit-in on the steps of the Capitol. 60 Vets were arrested, including an elderly man with a walker. It’s immoral Trump has ended services for Americans while spending millions on a military parade #NoKings m.youtube.com/watch?v=5hDk...

My friend and I were at a seat-yourself restaurant and moved to a different table just before our food arrived. As we were eating a guy walks up to us and returns my friend’s wallet that we accidentally left behind. It was Steve-O. Apparently not a real jackass!

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

I’m particularly fond of the 2024 rebrand because someone actually thought we’d notice that the filled in O from HBO inspired the filled in a in max and connect the dots. 🙃 💸

Pretty incredible that Jeff Bezos' Amazon announced a "$5 billion-plus" partnership w/ a Saudi AI co launched by Mohammed Bin Salman and sent CEO Andy Jassy to meet with him less than 7 years after MBS murdered Jamal Khashoggi, a columnist for Bezos' Washington Post. techcrunch.com/2025/05/13/a...

The Constitution forbids bribery *3 separate times*. So important to the Founders they included two emoluments clauses, and made it the only named impeachable offense besides treason. The Constitution is clear on banning bribery. It's just that Congress and the courts decided to pretend otherwise.

A horrible story but god bless this woman so accurately reading the ICE goons for filth here

Can’t help but think of how pissed off Daryl Grove would’ve been at the club he loved so much.

It’s hard for me to believe this is a “radical, leftist, socialist, commie” way to think.

THIS IS AMERICA

i need updates on the weezer bassist's wife, aka the pinnacle LA story

I'm 18. The economy enters a once-in-a-century recession. A Republican president is responsible. I'm 29. There is once-in-a-century pandemic that leads to a once-in-century-recession. A Republican is responsible. I'm 35. Tarriffs trigger a once-in-a-century recession. A Republican is responsible.

"I was in Europe for 7 yrs, working for Ligue 1 and the Champions League, and only 6 people invaded the pitch. "I came to the USA & in just 20 months, 16 people have already done so. There's a huge problem here. I'm not the problem. Let me help Messi." spr.ly/6010FnPEj

France’s institutions defended its democracy, upholding the law. South Korea’s institutions defended its democracy, upholding the law. Brazil’s institutions defended its democracy, upholding the law. Only America’s decided a criminal must be allowed to break its laws and destroy its democracy.

Definitely not bots 🙄 cc: @yeahyeahyeahs.bsky.social @ticketmaster.com

I am old enough to remember when using the White House and the power of the Executive Branch to give a company an advantage over another company would be considered corruption. Let alone one who's owner/executive is in your administration.

No one had died of measles in America for ten years, until yesterday. That 2015 death in WA was preceded by a 12y period of no US deaths. www.nbcnews.com/health/healt... HHS Secretary RFK Jr. says it’s “not unusual.” apnews.com/article/meas... It is unusual. www.cdc.gov/measles/data...

#ICYMI: In building a 68-mile tunnel under Las Vegas, Elon Musk’s Boring Company has skirted building, environmental and labor regulations, according to records obtained by ProPublica and City Cast Las Vegas.

Can we talk now about all the NWSL fans banned from stadiums for bringing Palestinian flags to games? I interviewed four of them last season & no publication wanted the story.

Glad we have all of the possible options covered.

Hi, I’ve been a software developer for 30 years, including in very large IT projects. Everything about “DOGE” and a bunch of Hitlerjugend walking into a data center and optimizing a code base and data grown over 70 years in a few days is complete bullshit on its nose. Sincerely, Thomas

One of my party facts is that according to polls, Americans believe foreign aid is about 25% of the federal budget and on average that it *should* be about 10%. The actual number is less than 1%. Foreign aid has long been a boogey man of the right, so it's not surprising they're vilifying it now.

There’s really not much more to say at this point. No one in any position of power under Articles I or III of the Constitution seems to care about anything at all. By the time they do, it’s going to be too late.

If you wanted no leaks you should have gone into Settings -> Security -> Configure privacy & security -> Privacy options -> Other -> Configure -> Media interface and clicked “Disallow.” The Leak setting is on by default but we understand your privacy is important so we’ve made it easy to opt out

remember stuff like this when they tell you that diversity means a lowering of standards

My bipartisan No Corruption in Government Act would stop the self-dealing by: ✅ Banning Congressional stock trading ✅ Tripling the ban on lobbying after serving ✅ Halting automatic pay raises for Congress Serving in Congress is about delivering for your community, not enriching yourself.

Everything is so damn stupid.

I've seen a couple people say that Buy Nothing is one of their main reasons for staying on FB--here's another option

I had to write this. It's personal, supplier diversity was my brainchild, but it also has implications for all of us - from the types of products made, their harm, and who we enrich using their platforms. I hope it makes you consider where and how you use social media: shorturl.at/BYa5r
