On the fifth anniversary of Brexit, 2016: We'd be better off with Brexit 2016: The sun has risen on an independent UK 2023: Brexit has failed 2023: We were more competitive in the EU 2024: Our democracy feels dead End this economic self harm, rejoin the EU

Trump on Beverly Hills: "They wanted to restrict you to 38 gallons of water a day. That sounds like a lot, but it's not when you're a rich person and you want to take a shower."

Left: Kemi Badenoch, "There is no way we should be giving up British territory in Chagos" Right: Keir Starmer, "The negotiations was started by the Conservative government. The then Foreign Secretary came to this house to say why he was starting negotiations and what he wanted to achieve"

Keir Starmer on 🔥 at #PMQs "I got a letter this week from a Tory voter in a Labour seat.. It was Liz Truss" "She was complaining that saying she crashed the economy was damaging her reputation" "It was actually crashing the economy that damaged her reputation"

Shadow Treasury Sec, Gareth Davies: Rachel Reeves inherited a brilliant economy. Wilf Frost: She didn't though, did she. It was terrible. Gareth Davies: Ok. Yes. It was terrible. But none of it was our fault. And it was ABOUT to be brilliant. That took less than 90 seconds to fall apart. Oof! ~AA

"Kemi Badenoch is bottling it and trying to cancel local elections because she’s terrified of more Lib Dem gains and a Conservative collapse that would threaten her leadership." Tory party accused of ‘bottling’ May elections as county councils seek delay www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Liz Truss threatens to sue Keir Starmer unless he "ceases and desists" from alleging she crashed the economy. In other news, here's Liz Truss making the exact same allegation against Gordon Brown

Left: Kemi Badenoch, "Keir Starmer won't listen to the victims who are calling for a national inquiry" #PMQs Right: Professor Alexis Kay, "Unhappy about the politicisation of child sexual exploitation.. The time has passed for more inquiries.. Victims want action... Get on with it"

Kemi Badenoch asked to give any examples of when she has ever raised the issue of grooming gangs in the House of Commons, prior to this week. She can't name a single one, but says that she has talked about trans issues instead

Here is the key section of that train wreck of an interview by Robert Jenrick on #r4today. Robinson: Did you raise it when you were Home Office minister? Jenrick: We talked about it... I wasn't... My portfolio... But we talked about it. Only a minute, if you can bear it. ~AA

BBC News, "What happened to the 20 recommendations from the child abuse inquiry that were given to the Conservative government?" Sarah Champion, "Nothing happened"

It turns out that Farage was right; foreigners were coming for his job.

This has to be the most dishonest reporting of an opinion poll I've ever seen The survey actually found that over two thirds of voters *do not* think Starmer will be out of No 10 within a year.

The Daily Mail, oddly outraged about three time elected Mayor of London instead of say, Gavin whip on my desk Williamson.

Here are just some of the now deleted Tweets previously put out by the man Kemi Badenoch has just made an ennobled peer of the realm

Outrageous, that's a 20% increase next year for the average Southern Water customer, whilst they continue to fill our rivers with sewage. BBC News - Sussex: Southern Water's £200 bill increase 'unbelievable' - BBC News www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

2018: Richard Tice, "George Soros doesn't live here, he doesn't pay taxes here, what right has he got to interfere with our democracy with donations?" 2024: Richard Tice, "If Elon Musk can legally donate and he feels that's the appropriate thing to do, we'd be delighted"

Laughter across the House as Kemi Badenoch accuses Keir Starmer of "giving away our Brexit freedoms". Ah yes. Those freedoms that have crippled small businesses. Left gaping holes in our labour force. Made our tap water less safe and our food system less secure. #PMQs youtu.be/RxPsx3ze2s0

ARM, "Jacob Rees-Mogg is a fantastic brother.. A principled and values led politician" MP, "Principles led? The man who advocated for Brexit then moved his business away from the country?" ARM, "We've just signed a trade deal with a bigger trading block than the EU" GDP: CPTTP +0.8% Brexit -4%

Hard to imagine Francis of Assisi watching tractor porn at work.

There isn't enough sherry in the world for anyone to be talking about Nigel Farage over Christmas dinner.

Nigel Farage, the lies vs the reality. "You're a dickhead," Massive applause.

*forseen complete lack of interest in his book

Left: Kemi Badenoch, "The country needs conviction politicians, not politicians with convictions" Right: Kemi Badenoch wants Donald Trump (guilty of 34 convictions) to address parliament

Jess Phillips: "Gosh, do you know what Kay, I don't know what we're going to do about the Elgin Marbles... there's probably a perfectly sensible solution... but it rarely comes up on the doorstep"

JUST IN: In a major foreign policy speech, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer warns Donald Trump that he will not side with the United States over the EU after Trump allies suggested he must make a choice between the two.

In July, I FOI'd the Home Office for the full breakdown of spending on the Rwanda scheme I was refused because the government planned to publish the data in future, and today is the day. These numbers are in millions www.gov.uk/government/p...

1/20 #leaseholdreform Gov't timetable to make commonhold default tenure for new flats by 2029. But technical issues mean delay to implementing new lease extension provisions. New valuation rules to be consulted on next summer. Full statement: questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-stat...

This needs to be taken seriously and taken seriously now - not in 3 years' time. www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...

MPs have voted in favour of the Assisted Dying Bill by 330 to 275 Next it goes to the Committee stage so it’s got some way to go yet but this is what actual progress looks like

A great piece by @bearlypolitics.co.uk www.bearlypolitics.co.uk/p/kemi-baden...

Andrea Jenkyns has defected to Reform. Can the Tories ever recover from the loss of this intellectual titan?

Left: Richard Tice complains about the destruction of the UK car industry Right: That time Patrick Minford told Rory Stewart that Brexit would destroy the UK car industry, "You are going to have to run it down.. It will be in your interest to do it.. These things happen"

I genuinely wonder if Kemi thinks Starmer resigning auto makes her PM.

Some corkers from Badenoch and the Tories at #PMQs today! “It's not the government that creates growth, it’s business.” Funny, here she is in May claiming the government has an economic plan for growth 🤔 And let’s not forget their "fastest growing in the G7" soundbite they love to get credit for.

Utterly illiterate. Economic data is very clear on this and there are literally 100s of papers/studies/research into exactly these issues. Does she actually read *anything* before spreading her ignorance on a given topic?

Left: Kemi Badenoch #PMQs, "We had a budget in March this year and tractors were not blocking the streets of Whitehall afterwards" Right: Sky News show footage of tractors blockading the streets of Whitehall and Parliament after the Conservative party's budget earlier this year

Badenoch calls for Starmer to resign and cites the online petition calling for a general election. Calling for a PM to resign is a serious statement that opposition leaders usually reserve for major scandals or failings. All Badenoch achieves with this is devaluing the statement's meaning. #PMQs

Kemi Badenoch at #PMQs: "We had a budget in March this year and tractors were not blockading the streets of Whitehall afterwards." Here are the tractors blockading the streets of Whitehall in March this year. They were protesting - you really couldn't make this up - Badenoch's trade policies. 😂

Rubbish. Just last year Vauxhall owner Stellantis said it was committed to 100% zero emission new car & van sales by 2030 in the UK and Europe.

A year ago, when Sunak pushed the EV target back to 2035, Stellantis said it was fully committed to “100 per cent zero emission new car and van sales in the UK and Europe by 2030”. www.driving.co.uk/news/busines...
