I didn’t realise that the sportsball jokes on the internet refer to the superbowl and such, and not the irl game of “sportsball” where my friends try to see how many different types of game they can play on the same field simultaneously. This once reached 8 total if you include the backgammon

It’s so interesting reading this because the language used to frame it is a little different to the vocabulary we are familiar with now. Things have changed pretty quick but it’s easy to forget just how much you had to mull these sorts of things over in order to convey them adequately
