My thoughts on this topic from a post I made back when Imane Khelif's gold medal was in the news.

If you're in a safe country for trans people, I'd like to ask you to do one of two things: 1. Get your country to accept trans refugees from the US & UK 2. At least, remember us in the "first they came" poem equivalent that someone will write after what's coming is done.

I told my mentees yesterday that this country needs the humanities and the humanistic social sciences now more than ever before... I love STEM. I'm a lifelong nerd. But dear God, are we ever living through the consequences of denigrating the humanities.

So What if my C's presentation next year was about the NSFW comics many trans people use to explore our gender when we're eggs? Like, their rhetoric, and how they reflect the framing of transness as inherently sexualized.

Behold, a man!* *valid only in the United Kingdom and dependencies

Today, I've got a special edition of Stained Glass Woman: my presentation on Stained Glass Woman itself, how it's rhetoric works, and how I'm trying to use it to fight back against transphobic hate! Have a peek behind the scenes this week: stainedglasswoman.substack.com/p/stained-gl...

IIIII it's mole making niiiiight!

I ended up explaining being (sex-favorable, but I mention that part) ace to some students today and I'm really kinda proud of it:

Cross Jessica Rabbit, Alita, Doc Impossible, and Dolly Parton.

God, this is a mood. Please. Please, be kinder to the people you're interacting with online. Especially those of us who're making content for you.
