What the hell actually happened to Bungie? I mean, like, I know it's shitty management and stuff like that but how the mighty have fallen.

This gonna be shitposted so much some indie dev is actually gonna go and make it.

To quote my friend @seantcollins.com, the ice cream guy is braver than virtually the entire US government, and so are you.

"Oh there's a new shooter out from the creator of golden light you say?" Monkey's paw curls "In collaboration with JFJ" Yeah. I'm fuckin good yo.

Doom the Dark Ages was an easy purchase for me til the call for a boycott on all Microsoft products. Then I was reminded what happened to Mick Gordon and now I'm not sure I care much at all.

Listen to your mother, Cloud... I owe everything I have to MY mother's watchful eye... and swift hand. Oh... there's mother now. Watching me... what's that mother? Why I have a RIGHT to be here. It's soldier business. Mother, that Shinra Suit doesn't fit me anymore!

The precident has been set with No Man's Sky. If that game can claw back from the brink, then a little negative feedback about balance around this game can be endured. Instead the CEO is threatening to shut down the studio if you don't manipulate the reviews back to positive.

Giant Bomb lives! Fandom has sold the site to us and it is now fully independent and employee-owned. We'll see you all on Tuesday for the Giant Bombcast. For more info right now, head over to www.giantbomb.com/join

Press release - Fandom Sells Giant Bomb to Independent Creators

The absolute best possible outcome. Time to fire that premium back up.

Giant Bomb is now independent "Giant Bomb has new owners, and you're looking at them" - Jeff Grubb

I know what your mom said, Gohan. College is a scam. Tell Chi-Chi to enjoy life in crippling debt. Actually, no. Ask her how much a ‘scholar’ makes. AFTER taxes. Now get out there and fight the Ginyu Force. Krillin’s getting his ass kicked and Coach needs to sleep off last night’s, uh, training.

Too damn many good games this year man.

I've watched Nextlander give Revenge of the Savage Planet a try and it's kinda sold me on the game. A looney tunes exploration game that kinda reminds me of Ratchet & Clank? Yes please!

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is now we get to the end of this year and we don't have to hear the dumbest argument that could happen- is Clair Obscur or GTA6 better?

Star wars is like the KISS of sci-fi. Looks cooler than it is, goes way harder the younger you are and merchandised out the asssssss

Saw a comment earlier saying that star wars feels cheapened by having a Destiny crossover. Nah, bro. It's the other way around. Destiny's setting is severely cheapened by the franchise built to sell merchandise.

The Elden Ring movie already exists and it's called "The Green Knight"

Destiny will always have a place in my heart for what it was and I look forward to dipping in here and there but fucking star wars needs to stay away from other brands for awhile.

Been revisiting old Giant Bomb stuff lately. I stopped watching after Jeff got fired cus I simply expected it to evaporate soon after but the crew there held on and made it their own thing. I hope for the best for all of them and look forward to what they do next. Also fuck fandom.

Yay. More brand slop

I think the GTA delay is good for almost everybody making games. Nobody has to compete with them for mindshare in 2025. Folks act like money flowing into "the industry" affects others, but it doesn't. This delay only affects GTA fans, who can wait, and take-two investors, who I don't care about.

I've never encountered a Dutch word that didn't immediately improve my day

Just thinking about how a web site and its community that have raised over $2,000,000 for charity is such an awful brand risk.

No one person has done more to bolster the community that surrounds Giant Bomb over the last 17 years than ZombiePie. He has tirelessly put together weekly roundups of forum posts, blogs, reviews, wiki work, and art. This is probably the last one. Please read it. www.giantbomb.com/articles/the...

This is literally the Big Pharma conspiracy theory of my lifetime!! That they were suppressing cures because the treatment is more lucrative! Mr. Anti-Big Pharma conspiracy theorist RFK Jr. is literally helping them turn the made-up nefarious scheme real!

there is a house in new orleans they call the 'fucked up house'

I've changed my tune recently after watching more info about Arc Raiders. Game actually seems solid and like the only extraction shooter coming up I care about at all but I'm still gonna say I mourn the co-op fight giant robots game it originally was. I would've loved to see that.

Yo what?! Borderlands 4 actually looks good?!

Also reminded of that Dune "MMO" coming out soon. Yeah, sure, survival fits the setting but I seriously don't wanna see this shit anymore. Give me another Dune RTS or an RPG instead.

Like, fuck what they did to Arc Raiders and Marathon. This trend needs to die out. Such a waste of dev talent.

FBC Firebreak is like the only multiplayer thing I'm looking forward to this year. A game not looking to monopolize your time while just being a fun co-op shooter.

Used to be that the telltale signs of a game to ignore were just "open world survival crafting" and now you get throw battle royale, extraction shooter and live service in general in there.

Good job, Canada. I can't help but be jealous lol.

Okay, UPCOMING GAMES highlight thread! Here's a curse or a blessing for your wishlists, how about a thread of upcoming games I've got an eyeball on, since I always seem to be finding neat and interesting stuff, let's make a little resource for you! Pictured: Labyrinth of the Demon King

The best Zelda, 'The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask' launched 25 years ago on April 27th 2000 in Japan.

what do you mean the dude who composed Expedition 33's soundtrack, the director just randomly found his soundcloud and offered him the job on the spot

I can't help but feel this is going to end up being the game that combines Doom and Quake's lore together.

Can I just say it's been absolutely insane that this year $50 games have been running circles around the $70 games. A focused project really goes a long way.

Expedition 33 opens insanely strong and I am fully in. I can't believe how moving it is from the jump.
