The thing about "LLMs COULD be cheap" is no they can't, because the expense is the point. If they don't need giant GPU farms to run, Nvidia collapses. If ChatGPT doesn't cost $100 million to train, OpenAI doesn't get all that seed money. The tech and financial sectors depend on the expense.
