An individual mind in Canada. No party allegiance. I've voted for every mainstream party at least once. Watching for the best choice for peace and prosperity.

In Canadian federal politics, we are past the point of merely pointing out the corruption. It is time to think in terms of what a citizen can do. Any suggestions?

The number one resource for political success is citizen apathy. Don't be a victim of political manipulation. Pay attention & understand. The degree of your apathy directly correlates to your victimization.

The success of the USA under Trump will make some politicians in competing economies nervous. The conservative shift is underway. Watch election results. Sadly, Canada will be among the last.

Replacing the ultimate Source with a party or politician is one of the worst choices one can make. Yet, that is what many are doing! Who owns you and me?

It is time to clear one's mind. Ignore and/or delete polls. We all claim to know that only one of the matters. So let's act accordingly.

“No help is coming from Ottawa for weeks, and maybe a lot longer. The premiers can and must break the stifling complacency that is such a hallmark of modern Canadian politics and use the power of social media, and simple shame, to get the ball rolling.” www.readtheline.ca/p/matt-gurne...

Is anyone surprised the City of Toronto said no to this non-profit offering to do something to help the homeless?! And of course there is no alternative being offered by the city is "focusing on a range of initiatives" with nothing actually offered. www.theepochtimes.com/world/city-...

Every time I see someone use racism as a rationale for criticizing, I cannot help but think it falls on increasingly deaf ears. This message was already overused, but now it is becoming a silly cliche that is out of date.

The issue Canada is facing boils down to fentanyl, money laundering, and cartels. All fueled by China. We must find a way to end it! This will likely mean increased surveillance by US and Canadian agencies. The free mind rebels at this, but we must select which evil we prefer.

I see conflicting polls here. That the Liberals are ahead is highly improbable. I've learned to ignore them as they appear to be agenda-driven. All one can do is speak and vote against the current regime. I hope enough voters will do the same.

If history has taught us anything, 20th-century history in particular, it is that knee-jerk nationalism is a deadly force that can result in horrifying wars. If you still have the capacity to think, please do so. Do you really want a war, trade or otherwise?

I've thought of Canada as a uniquely successful nation. Historically, it has been a combination of US pioneering, British cultural strength, and French sophistication. And it has remained independent while living beside the most powerful nation ever known!

Watching the videos of hockey crowds booing reminds me that mob mentality is the momentary elimination of the individual mind. Where is the self-worth?

For decades, we have allowed dependence on politicians to grow. We've conflated our self-worth with the assertions of politicians and their supporters. What does it take to stand up for our individual lives?

The most frustrating thing for citizens is feeling powerless in the face of politician's actions. We can scream at them and know that it means nothing. That all this is done with OUR money furthers the seething anger.

The zeitgeist has shifted. It's no longer dominated by the left. It will take time for this to sink in, but the rightward shift is just starting to gain momentum.

I've read critics of individualism for years. The inherent anti-government stance irritates those who demand adherence to their side. Now, we see deep corruption being exposed in the US with the same on the horizon for Canada. Is it too soon to say, "told you so?"

A significant question regarding voters is how many are getting their news from legacy media and/or social media. The source of news is crucial if a voter is passively consuming it.

When any politicians speaks in platitudes such as, "We are promoting prosperity and peace," without specifications, you know it's a lie.

Is it possible that I might be wrong in my views? Of course!! But if I get new information and see a mistake, I can update that opinion. Can you?

Conservative-minded people in Ontario need alternatives to the PCs. Doug and his slugs are liberals. I'm looking at options and will report what I find. I am aware of the wasted vote problem but I'm still going to look.

Those who have valued tolerance over the years are the most adamant opponents of the woke nonsense. It's a reaction to having taken our generosity to extremes! Even the slightest demand for "equality" is now rejected.

I'm watching this political pissing contest between Trump and Trudeau. It's the old story - those in power sit pretty in their towers and do things that harm citizens. We argue over which of the powerful is worse while we remain sitting ducks.

Do NOT merely listen to online talking heads, podcasters, bloggers, including me! Seek knowledge of economics, history, and political philosophy. In other words, seek to understand. Not just react.

It is time for Canadians to accept that our economic world has changed. We've depended on the Americans far too long for our wealth and we need to move on to other markets. Trump is protecting his country, as he should! Time for us to do the same by diversifying markets.

What does one do when living in Canada at age 70 and watching this country in such decline? Moving means leaving behind family, friends, property, etc. It is all so deeply sad to watch.

Here's an excellent critique of the "alternative reality" media tries to create. chroniclesmagazine.org/web/our-med...

"The Media is tryine to make you mad!" This is exactly right and for the sake of one's mental equilibrium, let's not let them succeed. intellectualtakeout.org/2025/01/med...

This review of the Bob Dylan biopic, "A Complete Unknown" is worth reading, in my view. I saw the film recently, enjoyed it, and thought it was a fair treatment of Dylan, fame, and challenges of ideology. modernagejournal.com/a-complete-...

It is with increasing dismay that I watch Atlas Shrugged coming true in Canada. The endless hold on power, the debt, the regulations, the taxes, etc. What will happen if those who make stuff, provide services, and offer knowledge decide to go on strike?!

Where are the reasonable voices today? Historical voices like Edmund Burke are sorely missed amidst the screeching and hand-wringing. www.theepochtimes.com/opinion/edm...

For a long time, many hesitated to block others online, holding on to the notion that interacting with trolls might yield some hidden wisdom. As for muting, rethink that. Muting allows them to linger and disrupt your conversations with followers. Blocking cuts them off entirely.

What kind of fish are you?

Once you identify with "my country," you can be emotionally manipulated. Yes, protecting the place where you live is self-preserving. But always seek specific effects on you (and those you care about) rather than vague claims that "they" are the enemy.

Step 1 in protecting oneself begins with the realization that those in power are self-serving. Step 2 is realizing that self-service is normal and reasonable. Step 3 is applying that to oneself.

This negates identity politics! Each of us is a sovereign individual regardless of attributes. If you cannot see beyond group identity, you can be controlled by others using the identity for their own gain.

The most important thing to remember is that you and I want to thrive and have the best life possible. No one wants a worse life!! Why is this important to remember? It provides a realistic way to assess the actions of the powerful. How does an action affect your life?

In read lots of comments about the value of Canadian sovereignty. It's as if being a country is good in itself. But why? What exactly is the inherent good about it? Most responses to this question come down to, "it's good because it's good."

Politics is about fundamentals, yet has degenerated into personality preferences, "I like this one, I don't like that one." What values and virtues does your preferred politician represent? Mine are freedom, kindness, self-protection, compassion, self-ownership.

If you follow me, brace yourself! I have no interest in left/right debates. I reject liberals and conservatives alike who want to control me!

This is clearly a Nazi salute. And done repeatedly.
