A bit overwhelming the 250+ followers I seem to have gain in the last days.. Absolutely failing on following people back, but will try to go over it soon.

(1/27) STARTER PACK THREAD. The environmental humanities, broadly conceived, have been flourishing on BlueSky lately. To further promote this growth, we recommend the following starter packs in and beyond the #EnvHum, beginning with ICEHO's for environmental history. Let's connect! #envhist

Here is a starter pack for scientists and others interested in Macroecology - go.bsky.app/GBn9pNZ 🌎🧪🦋🌾

It’s finally here! I’m officially starting my Royal Society University Research Fellowship at the University of York today! Looking forward to spending the next years understanding the complexities of #biodiversity change taking place across time and space.

🚨New paper! Is homogenization really that more common than differentiation? - not really, our latest work shows that one pattern can be as common as the other. Another great work and collaboration led by this amazing team👇

Making my way to Belfast for the #BES2023 @britishecolsoc.bsky.social Annual Meeting next week! Let me know if you will be around. But for now some sightseeing is on the cards. Any suggestions?

Great to see the first paper coming out from Shuyu Deng's PhD today: "Human modification of land cover alters net primary productivity, species richness and their relationship" onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/... Using existing global datasets, she shows how humans are changing biodiversity. 1/

I never really posted many photos on the other one..although you do get some cool stuff with just your smartphone sometimes. Since @cmbeale.bsky.social was kind enough to invite me here (and he loves posting pics) I will just say thanks with this little fellow I saw last week. Sorry it's not a bird!

🚨Call open in a range of departments! Great opportunity to submit your own #PhD research proposal on the theme Biodiversity Gains & Resilience or apply to the other 8 Fully funded projects at the Leverhulme Centre for Anthropocene Biodiversity (York, UK) Apply here👇 www.york.ac.uk/professorial...
