The most important tool any country in this world has is Scientific Research and Education. The more you spend on it, the more that country will grow and the more the people of that country will prosper. China invested in science education and kept the children away from religious indoctrination.

God was the first and a very successful attempt to explain the universe, but that is no longer the case. We now have a much better scientific method to understand the universe. The only reason religion has persisted is that it taps into human emotions such as fear and hope.
