I think the point where fascism becomes inevitable in the UK is at the 2032 general election where the choice is between. A Farage led Reform/Tory merged party and Labour led by Wes Streeting.

The Guardian are asking readers to nominate their invertebrate species of the year. I am nominating Keir Starmer

This is how the UK Labour Party approach politics too. They aren't willing to put forward a counter-narrative on e.g. immigration, or trans rights, and so they simply react by adopting a "softer" version of the right-wing line.

Labour man to man marking Reform isn't an aberration. Starmer tracking ever closer to Farage isn't an aberration. That is who these people are, what they have always been like. Their only purpose with power is to hold it and win it again. Whatever they think it takes is what they will do.

Almost at the point of frustration with the world where I want to find a soundproofed room and scream myself hoarse

2 years ago, Scotland overwhelmingly passed a bill to make Trans people's lives a little easier. ❌But the Tories used an undemocratic backdoor to block it. 🥀Now, Labour plans to abandon the LGBTQ+ community and uphold the undemocratic block on Scotland's bill.

A truly disruptive Labour government would not be one that fails to do what it knows is best for the country because it is terrified of the right wing press.

www.theguardian.com/politics/202... Labours concept of what "working class" is seems to be stuck in the 1950s. White men doing manual labour. What about young people doing zero hours jobs, cleaners, hospitality staff, do none of them count as "working class". Their patronising racism shines through.

BBC news talking about an asteroid that has a small chance of hitting earth in 2032. By then Donald Trump will be campaigning for his 4th term, Nigel Farage will be prime minister in the UK and we will all be praying for the sweet release of death.

Final question on Pointless on BBC1 just now was Graphic Novels, one of the options was titles in The Sandman series. Surprised they didn't pull the episode. I got 3 pointless answers!!!!

Much as it pains me and much as I hate the idea with all my heart I now believe that I will live to see Nigel farage as prime minister

“Once you decide that a single vulnerable minority can be sacrificed, you’re operating within a fascist logic,” they said. “That means there might be a second one you’re willing to sacrifice and a third, a fourth. Then what happens?”

Donald Trump keeps finding new depths of narcissistic depravity to plumb

Does Heathrow need a 3rd runway. Let's have a look shall we. Heathrow - 2 Gatwick - 1 Stansted - 1 Luton - 1 Southend - 1 London City - 1 These all purport to be London airports. Between them they have 7 runways. So we need another. Well no!

The most frequent comparison for Reeves and Starmer I am seeing in the press is to Liz Truss. It seems neither unfair, nor a surprise.

Wes Streeting is a disgrace. I would be stronger but I am trying to reign back my incoherent rage at him

If I wasn't worried about Rachel Reeve's "growth" speech before, hearing that the CBI and the British Chamber of Commerce are praising it means I am now

I wish we didn’t have to keep telling people that once they’re done with trans people, they’re coming for you next. You should fucking care that trans people are getting hurt all for the crime of existing. You shouldn’t need another fucking reason.

Multiple stories in the news today about the emperor's new AI. A bubble ready to burst

Street WhatsApp group has a post saying that it is turning into a "puppy playdate subgroup" which I am fairly sure is some sort of niche porn.

Rachel Reeve's and Keir Starmer's vision seems to be to become the richest country on a charred cinder planet. Burn baby burn, growth inferno!

Some people say that if they had a time machine, they would go back and kill Hitler as a baby or kill Bin Laden as a baby. What these people are really saying is that they want to kill a baby, and they want you to congratulate them for it. These people are psychopaths and shouldn't be trusted.

MAGA - Make America Gilead Again

It's difficult to be 100% certain but I feel that Keir Starmer has a fair chance of being my least favourite prime minister of my lifetime

Mood.

I have taken the resources that were in the budget and which you were probably saving for higher education Forgive me they were needed to feed the AI bubble and to dismantle the humanities

Of course America is cursed, it's built on a giant Indian burial ground.

Today is the day that America's Titanic view of itself as a country hits the iceberg of Donald Trump

growth is nonexistent, a quarter of the population doesn't know how it's going to afford to eat next month, but it's reassuring to know that the british state continues to persecute its political enemies

V well expressed. The peak atop the great mountain of ignorance demonstrated by the AI salesmen is that they see creativity purely as product, not process. It’s logical that, in our hyper-economically-right-wing world, this particular misconception should dominate, and it does.
