Here's the flyer for the event my group of disabled playwrights is producing at Woolly Mammoth Theatre next week. I'm so excited! You can get free tickets here: event.woollymammoth.net/3dplaywright...

It’s exactly one week until this open reading and workshop that my playwriting group is holding at Woolly Mammoth Theatre. It has been so nice to work on something that prioritizes disabled artists and accessibility. I really hope DC people come - it’s free! event.woollymammoth.net/3dplaywright...

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave. Tell them: 1. Vote NO on Cloture AND 2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill. Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it. TODAY is the showdown. 🤳🏽: (202) 224-3121

the fact that people are being disappeared in the name of ""preventing antisemitism"" by a christian nationalist administration is making me nauseated and horrified in ways i cant even begin to explain

LA fires are a good reminder that the only difference between me and any refugee is luck.

As I say again and again - no one expects quite the horrific mix of indescribable tedium and intolerable body horror that is ongoing illness and how the tedium is a key component of the horror. #TheChronicLife

@lauracrone.nebula.tv I loved your pedantic breakdown of If We Were Villains bc when I read it it was clear to me that the author had no idea how production actually works (there… are no SM or costuming or set design majors?) so it was gratifying to learn i wasn’t the only one annoyed haha

Casually thinking about how a pandemic/increase in the number of disabled people seems to be consistently followed by an increase in eugenicist policies and a rise in facism. Delightful, just delightful.

Wait time for a disabled person to access medically assisted death in Canada? 3 months A specialist for TREATABLE conditions? 12-18 months Affordable housing? Multiple years Palliative care, psychiatric care & pain management? Good luck. This is why we’re scared. Via @paulapeters19.bsky.social

I’m half way through Say Nothing, which I think is really really well written, and it has me thinking about how all of the screenplays/plays I like the most utilize a story frame. #playwriting #scriptsky

I have a tear in my shoulder and when it’s acting up it makes my whole arm feel weak, like a little baby bird with a broken wing. 0/10, do not recommend, i would like a refund on this body.

my friend and I have a joke that if I ever teach a #playwriting class it will be called "mind your business" bc I am obsessed with stage business. Obviously stage business is just what your actor is literally doing but conceptually I think it's actually the key to writing good scenes period.

I spent most of my twenties wishing for a creative partner to make things with and now suddenly I have two! I'm not quite sure how that happened but I'm very grateful.

There was no feed for playwrights, so I made one! Currently tracking #playwriting, #playwright, and #playsky (which I think we should use to talk about our scripts, since the screenwriters got to #scriptsky first). I hope people from #theatresky will follow as well! bsky.app/profile/inha....

I am sad to leave twitter because of all the writing community and disabled community (RIP NEISvoid 🙁) that used to be easy to access over there, but to be honest it's been hard to pick through the fire hose of the new algorithm there for a while to find stuff that matters. So here I am!
