“With a mortar launcher.”

Just want to put it out there to @darringtonpress.bsky.social that I no longer work for Wizards of the Coast and am very much in the market to bring my tabletop creativity to new ventures. The fact that I didn't work for WOTC before is a minor detail I'm sure we can look past. #ttrpg #dnd #oneshot

It turns out I might have been getting my shoe size wrong by three whole sizes most of my life. How's your week going?

Returning home from #londonmcm #comiccon. Ridiculously exhausted, won’t be back until well after dark. Give me two days in the rejuvenation pod then it’s back to the typewriter…

Day 2 of #londonmcm and we’re still reeling from how busy Friday was. Head to Artist’s Alley G2 and loudly intone the passphrase “The Pensive Man Forever Holds His Peace” For no reason other than it would be funny. Bonus points if I hear you at the wrong stall.

London MCM starts today! If you want to meet up to discuss: - Tabletop - Writing - Voicework - My secret upcoming project - A chance to win £50 of candles - The Norwegian archipelago of Svarlbard Then head to G2 in Artist’s Alley where I’ll be aiding the wonderful @lientietattoos.bsky.social #mcm

The DM needs, and the canal provides... #dnd #tabletop #oc #canals #someboatshavefunnynames

It's the final D&D session to run for the week and therefore my final battle with chronic fatigue before the weekend. Come on brain. You got this!

Third day in a row my pain levels have gone up, and not down like I expressly told them to. It hurts, but worse still is how annoying distractive it is. I'm just trying to craft fantasy worlds and my spine is like "That's enough faeries and magic for you boyo!"

The system I'm writing for the Minimalist #TTRPG Jam is roughly: - 8% Rules - 12% Jokes - 80% Ridiculous Premise I can't wait to not play it. Link for those interested in joining in: itch.io/jam/minimali...

I dreamt I wrote a one-page #ttrpg system called 'Here and Now' where the premise is the moment the game starts, a second timeline is sprung where something interrupts the game and the would-be players have to survive whatever has transpired. In this timeline you roleplay the other, in real time.

Finally watched the first season of 'Pantheon' and... Wow, what a rush. It ticked a lot of boxes for me. Above all else I can't stop marvelling at how grounded it was. Believable reactions, emotions, and conundrums while still delving deep into some great sci-fi elements. Would highly recommend.

The larger table setup in our dedicated #d&d tavern room means there's no longer anywhere we can put the Christmas tree. Genuinely considering putting it in the bathroom this year.

People are missing the obvious. Elon Musk's main gripe is he's not allowed to play. He's a nerd and he can't play a #ttrpg because he's the main boss of r/rpghorrorstories. A raging narcissist that can't be told "no". He's incompatible. If he can't enjoy the game, nobody else is allowed to either.

What #videogame has the most realistic loot? I find myself craving a game, probably survival genre in the 'real world' where loot is realistically placed and proportioned. No more finding shotguns on crocodiles, or not finding an object on a character you can clearly see has one.

I've been working on a #d&d 5e class for a little over a year, with a hope to publish next year. It *still* doesn't have an official name. I flit between two possibilities on an almost weekly basis, annoyingly aware that the correct option is likely a third I've yet to think of.

More TTRPGs should include a "game pitch". Not a marketing pitch to get GMs to buy the games. A game pitch meant for the GM to use to lure potential players. farirpgs.com/posts/more-t...

I've been out of action for a few days, courtesy of my chronic illness. I find it's like falling off a merry-go-round. I've picked myself up out of the dirt, checked myself over and dusted myself off, and now I'm just trying to pluck up the energy to leap back on. Someone save a unicorn for me.

Black Friday sales are a good way to support human artists and build up your library of stock art for all of your #TTRPG publishing needs.

It's been great seeing fellow creators make their way over here. As you rebuild your audience and make new connections, what lessons are you taking from that other place to do things differently here? #ttrpg #dnd

I'm Jasper CEO & director @ 12 Sided Studios a nerdy production house! My credits include: Marvel Move (Deadpool) Dragons Dogma 2 Pirate Academy (lead) Dimension 20 Re Slayers Take (CR) NADDPod Oxventure High Rollers Rotating Heroes 3 Black Halflings Pls share so I can do more cool stuff! 😎

The Bluesky boom and the way the RPG community is expanding here have put me in a good mood, so here's a little something. I've bundled three of my best-known (and I reckon best) RPGs together, and you can snap them up for just $5 until Bluesky passes 25m users www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/5...

Didn't expect to be putting on a snuggy and a duster to head out into the snow at midnight in an attempt to save our banana tree by hacking away at it with a kukri. Another tiny life adventure to keep me on my toes.

Heading to the library with my partner today to research children’s books for a new passion-project! We’ve long discussed joining forces on an endeavour such as this and it’s finally happening. We’ll see who breaks first! #writing #library #relationshipgoals

Ok #worldbuilding craftspeople, care to share one interesting tidbit about your world that lacks all important context? I’ll start: The moon only turns because an unfathomably large dragon keeps it moving, hence some of the craters look like claw marks. #d&d #ttrpg

Another session ended on a cliffhanger. Giving players a week to ponder impending certain death or plot-shattering revelation is one of the few joys a DM gets to revel in between sessions before the inevitable preparation for the next begins. It’s also the reason I’m not a teacher. #dnd #ttrpg

For no reason whatsoever, here is my favourite cover from Dragon Magazine (#143): I've cracked wise about this for years (and will continue to do so for my own enjoyment), but really I can't wait to run a one-shot using this as inspiration. Top Gun vs. Dragons anyone?

Tonights D&D session proved that a 1 in 6 chance for a random encounter happens 8 in 9 times. Time for a long rest I reckon.
