You have a d10 in strength. You roll to attack and get a 7! That’s great! But every action as a consequence. Now your strength is set to a d8. If it reaches a d4, the only way for you to reset it back to d10 is to let the GM throw a consequence in the fiction. That’s Breathless

Moments in campaigns where the pure extremes of the setting are shown to the players. I truly believe each campaign needs 2 or 3 of these to help focus players. These moments should be grounded in the setting and not beyond what the players are expecting of the campaign but they need to shock
