This is the most healing thing that has ever been posted. Reading this is like a weight evaporated out of my body.

There are a lot of people who can't actually think. They just have 5-10 set responses and Current Thing gets mashed into one of those 5-10 set responses, no matter what it is. e.g. "Abolition"

can't stress enough how misleading this is to the zoomers. mainstream culture treated gay people like circus freaks, acceptable as entertainment but not in normal life. 'it's gay' was a synonym for 'it sucks' well into the 2000s

This is my thing too!

I had followed a blocklist of Kiwi posters, and discovered it had actually changed to become a list of only three people, and one of them was Jesse Singal.

Holy based and correct post.

I’ve never found any of these articles persuasive for why police unions “aren’t unions” or cops “aren’t workers”, it’s always people tying themselves in convoluted knots with grad-school jargon to avoid saying that unions are not always good, & that some groups of workers having power is bad.

Because they have the power to offer a compromise and trans people don't. It's not about fairness. You can't apply the logic of fairness to it. It's just about power. They have the power to offer something. We have nothing they want, that we're willing to give. Come on, jesus.

Trans people who don't do this all the time in real life will get absolutely fucked. Sometimes even just getting along with people means playing off "Yes I'm trans it's weird right" with a joke and making it clear you're not gonna get offended about shit, regardless of your feelings.

It has exactly 0 to do with this and the logic doesn't even make sense. It actually has far more to do with posts like this than it does with "liberals not fighting back". It's the manner of fighting back supported by trans leftists that's given the right the leverage they need.

This is logically true, and realizing why it never ever happens or ever will was a really important thing for me. It's because people only really do things they think are good if there's social proof saying they should find it good, otherwise they do nothing.

It is insane how much "the trans community" is a fake concept and I feel no connection to it. A bunch of people who Post Online but don't know each other is a community? Maybe it's because I've never made the mistake of getting involved with people who were too mentally ill and sniffed it out.

I'm a trans lesbian and my feed is nothing like this because I don't make social media a place to develop and reinforce an anxiety disorder - which is something it's really good at if you let it. A social media feed like this is not just useless to you, it's a threat.

This is a platform that actually cares about free speech. This is what it looks like.
