One of the most fascinating things about an earthquake to me is that I can message all my buddies from across the city, doing different things in different contexts, and instantly connect over a shared experience. The delightfulness of this almost masks the existential terror. 🥰

The problem with laptops is: they're flat. If you lay one down on the only available spot on a desk or table, someone will immediately come along, identify it as an available spot, and put something on top of it.

In case you don't know, Amazon is removing (this week!) the ability to download your purchased ebooks from the website, removing the most viable method of archiving them... ⚠

Amazon's hijinks have finally pushed me over, I need an e-reader that's not kindle, and an ebook shop that's not amazon. There's actually quite a lot of choice out there, I'd love if people could highlight some of their favourites! 🙇‍♀️📚

Apparently I have this game wishlisted and it's on sale. Seems like the kind of thing that needs shouting about, check out this lovely game about painting, maybe it's for you? store.steampowered.com/app/1065070/t/

Is there a simple above-board way to stop these google sign in popovers??

Ugh, that awkward phase in a computer's life when the 1TB hard drive is full, but there isn't any "single thing" bigger than like 5gb-10gb on it to remove, so where do you even start?

folks, I'd really appreciate it if you could take 5 minutes of your time to vote on some game concepts we've been thinking about, it only takes 5 minutes: forms.gle/gdZE5VWNkiHL... Just give 1-5 star rating to each concept based on how much you'd want to play them! 🙏

I will never stop being frustrated by the fact that "bi-weekly" and "bi-monthly" refer to the same amount of time.

This week I teamed up with @ipsquiggle.bsky.social to make a little jam game! Check out Changelings on itch.io: katekillick.itch.io/changelings #indiedev #gamedev #indiegame

Stumbled upon this great comics webring when I noticed the same logo on two of the comics that I follow. Nice! knifebeetle.neocities.org #webComics #webRing #indieComics

I often read things like, "make lots of prototypes, a team of 1-2 people for 1-2 weeks, and don't be afraid to throw them out!" I do a lot of prototyping and throwing things out, but in my 18 years of dev, it's never looked like _that_. I'm genuinely curious about where the discrepancy is!
