As someone who used to have weird memory problems, this. I once forgot how to make coffee overnight whilst working at a barista and had to actually re-learn it. I remember things I know didn't happen, and have totally major forgotten things that did. I can forget things on purpose. Memories change.

I just thought to check the final word count on Darkened Hill & Dale. According to Affinity Publisher, it's 44,250 words. Not including the handouts. No wonder it took a bit longer than the originally-planned six months! The first draft was almost entirely hand-written as well. 😅

Folks, I strongly recommend enabling the BlueSky setting that forces you to write alt text whenever you post a picture/video/gif! Writing alt text may add a few seconds to your posting time but it's invaluable to some of the people wanting to view your post.
