I’m not sure about this one. It does like somewhat like a fragrant funnel/Clitocybe fragrans but the gill pattern looks a little different to me… Anyway, it has a cute baby. #fungifriends #fungi #mycology #naturephotography

The James Webb Space Telescope has revealed a stunning discovery: a supermassive black hole located about 12 billion light-years away. The black hole at the center of the galaxy GS-10578, known to scientists as "Pablo's Galaxy," is 200 billion times more massive than our sun.

James Webb Satellite took a fantastic shot of the Planet Saturn with it's Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam) and the Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI). This is just an Amazing shot that shows the planet and the rings in brilliant detail.

This is the closest known black hole to Earth, only 1,560 light-years away. Scientists discovered its existence through the trajectory of a companion star. This discovery deepens our understanding of black holes and gives us more imagination about the mysteries of the universe.

Arp 321. a compact group of five galaxies located in the constellation Hydra. It's a fascinating object for astronomers because these galaxies are in close proximity and interacting with each other. Processed Hubble data by Dr. Mehmet Hakan Özsaraç. www.flickr.com/photos/mhozs... 🔭 🧪

Signals from Earth now take 23 hours and 9 minutes to reach Voyager 1, with an equal delay for a response. Looking ahead, #NASAVoyager 1 is expected to reach a distance of one light-day (~ 25.9 billion km) from the Sun in January 2027, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of its launch. 1/ #NASA

This fascinating color image of the young star cluster NGC 602 (released in December 2024) uses Chandra X-ray data (red) and JWST data (various infrared colors). Combination of X-ray and infrared Reason for sharing: I just think it's beautiful

Eye of God. A striking cosmic spectacle inspired by the Helix Nebula, located in the constellation Aquarius—one of the brightest and closest to Earth. Glowing red regions are primarily hydrogen, while vibrant blue hues at the center stem from hotter oxygen energized by the dying star. P.S. Space art
