The Democrats are unprecedentedly lethargic. From 1961-1971, they were energetic, pushing 4 Constitutional Amendments: DC voting rights, banning poll taxes, presidential succession rules, & lowering the voting age to 18. Today’s Dem leadership is intellectually exhausted—no bold vision, no reforms.

Stating the obvious. East Germany was not sufficiently reformed after the fall of communism. That’s the issue. From from 1933-90 East Germany was ruled, led, educated by totalitarians. Hitler to Stalin. It is right to admit they have not been properly integrated and more must be done to reform them.
