I’m revisiting Flexbox with fresh eyes, but this time, it’s not for my blog. I’m working on an educational resource that I plan to publish (yes, you guessed it! 😉 💸). I’ll share more details when the time is right!

Happy Friday! I’ve started drinking decaf in the mornings since Ramadan (the fasting month) is just a week away. How is your day going?

If you #build #components I am sure you ran into the issue of text balancing. Since your components have to work on different viewports and devices, it is hard to control. But now we have some much needed guidance thanks to @ishadeed.com:

Unlearning Flexbox for something I'm working on. Fun and exciting times! 🛠️

🛠️ CSS Grid Areas Interactive Guide This guide is a must-read if you’ve ever found CSS Grid a bit tricky! It dives deep into grid-area, named grid lines, and how they work together, breaking them down in a clear, interactive, and practical way. 🔗 ishadeed.com/article/css-...

A CSS feature I wish existed: controlling the dashed line size/gaps in border/outline styles. 😊

Today's cup of coffee! Straight out of the camera ☕

I used to focus on one article at a time for my blog. Now, I’m experimenting with working on multiple articles so that if I get bored with one, I can switch to another. Let’s see how it goes! How about you?

For anyone who makes content of any type, if you don't have one, think about starting a newsletter. You can be web-first, but newsletters are (even in 2025) such a good way to reach your audience. And if you have a small audience, it generally means they'll be an engaged audience!

Once again, I wish we had anchor positioning years ago. It solved an experiment I’m working on that wouldn’t be possible without JavaScript or complex, hacky CSS. 🤩

I’ve been working on multiple things lately. I’m excited about what’s coming and can’t wait to share more when the time is right. 🤩🚀

CSS layout debugger? 👀

It looks like this wish might finally come true! I just got a notification about some activity on Bugzilla regarding container style queries! bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi...

I just love what CSS can do today. In this blog post, I explain how to create a scroll-to-top button that indicates the scroll position only with HTML and CSS. matuzo.at/blog/2025/sc...

It's 2025 but we still can't copy a stroke from an element to another in Figma while maintaining the stroke width and style. Come on, @figma.com!

Just hit the “publish” button on a brand-new blog post! ⭐ This one shares the killer pattern I find myself using over and over with container queries: responding *within* media queries to adapt to the new container size. Once you start using this trick, you’ll see opportunities for it all over. 😄

Good news! The upcoming version of Chromium will show the selected value in min, max, clamp 🥳🤩 chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/devtools/d...

Alma (4) gifted me this 🥹 I remember getting this canvas for her while she was in the hospital three months ago. I’m going to hang it on my desk! 🤩

And sometimes, that complex-looking CSS variable is just "16px" 😆
