We wish you an anxious Christmas. islanddropout.blogspot.com/2025/01/we-w...

Fact I learnt today. Brussels Sprout and Kale taste better in the colder months because the cold triggers a chemical reaction in the vegetable, turning starch into sugars (sugar stops the veg from freezing). This makes the vegetable less bitter and more sweet. #factoftheday #brusselssprouts #kale

Snow in Dorset this morning. A walk in the snow is always a delight.

I read an article the other day which worried me. It said dog owners need to consider food safety more when feeding their pets. Most owners don't wash their hands before preparing their dog's food (me being one of them 😬). Then I saw my dog eating sheep shit and decided maybe I wasn't the problem

When does your child stop being your little girl and become a fully functioning adult, doing adulty things like driving and working and looking out for their old dad when he is struggling? #parenting #mentalhealth

What is the one band/artist that can always put you in a good mood?

I wrote a thing to try and explain my mental health. #mentalhealthrecovery #mentalhealth #stress #anxiety islanddropout.blogspot.com/2025/01/its-...

Since the Xmas break, I have got out of the habit of taking the dog out before work. Nice to get out this morning. It's a great way to start the day. #mentalhealth #Dorset #recovery

January is so depressing. To get through it, I need something to look forward to. Just book a holiday in the summer to the lake district. What are the must do things in the lakes? #lakedistrict #thelakes #thelakedistrict #summerholiday

Dorset is a remarkable place. #Dorset #dorsetlife #England

Is 40 too young for a mid-life crisis? Is 40 too many bottles of whiskey? Is 40 the age to stop going to punk shows? Is 40 a day too many to smoke?

It's Mental Wellness Month! 💙 As psychologists, we prioritize the well-being of others every day—but how often do we prioritize ourselves? Caring for your own mental health isn’t just important—it’s essential for providing the best care to your clients. #mentalwellnessmonth #selfcare

Is it possible to have too much empathy for animals? I accidently ran over a hedgehog a few years back and it still haunts me. #mentalhealth

The quote of my Christmas My daughter had 3 drinks next to her, a glass of water, a Fanta and a Malibu. I asked her why she needed 3 drinks and she said, "One for hydration, one for flavour and one for FUN!!" #quoteoftheday #christmas

One think I am trying to do this year, is take more photos and videos of my beautiful surroundings. #Dorset in November 2024 #farmlife #dorsetdays #sheepfarmers #mentalhealth

Last year, I averaged 7,170 steps daily, not great, but hey. Aiming for 10,000 steps isn’t realistic, so my 2024 goal is 8,000 steps/day. If I fall short one day, I can make it up later, no guilt, no failure. Realistic goals mean progress without the pressure of perfection. #newyearsgoals

Discovered the music of Emily Nenni yesterday. Her song, Useless is great. A fresh Honky Tonk sound. youtu.be/yrRcGjFCaLg?... #emilynenni #countrymusic

I just read Deliver Me from Nowhere The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska by Warren Zanes and it was the perfect book for me at this moment. Springsteen released an album that was imperfect & unpolished. This proves not everything has to be perfect all the time to be enough. #mentalhealth
