I’ve finally seen Nene Fly.

Driving my 2019 Tesla now means I deserve dirty looks, rude hand gestures, and more 😔. Purchased this car before Elon was went certifiably crazy. Amazon anti Elon bumper stickers ordered and on the way for a hall pass. Want to switch to another EV brand, suggestions ?

Stay safe out there.

So many whales today

Fireworks scorch the earth, pollute the air, frighten animals, and endanger lives. With global warming, wildfires, and pollution worsening, it’s time to ban fireworks in favor of sustainable celebrations. Let’s protect our planet and communities. www.khon2.com/local-news/n...

Our inaugural haul of the year, its estimated 15-20 tons of marine trash are being washed up on the shores of Hawaii every year, 96% of which is composed of plastic material.

Pure power and grace, spectacular day on the ocean. #humpbackwhales

Trying out Bluesky, but why are there so many bots, inappropriate messages, and people pitching services—even though my bio clearly says I don’t respond to DMs? Feeling ready to drop out.

It was a birthday at the beach kind of weekend with my kids and their babies. Nothing better than family time

The nene, Hawaii’s state bird, is endemic to the Hawaiian islands. Believed to have evolved from Canada geese over 500,000 years ago. I captured these shots while on Kauai.

A little White Tip Oceanic Shark spotted a couple of miles off shore aboard the Kona Explorer. ❤️

Good night, Kona. Your sunsets are always a breathtaking masterpiece.

It’s hard to believe that despite Hawaii being the most isolated landmass in the world, over 30 tons of trash have been found in its waters in such a short time.

Family who dives together thrives together.

Happy Hump Day, good morning Kona. #HumpbackWhale #Cetaceans #Wildliife #MarineMammals #Ocean

Spent the day cruising offshore the Big Island. Spotted some booby birds and spinner dolphins and took some time to clean up trash from the ocean. Always feels good to give back to the place we love. #BoobyBirds #Birds #Dolphins #OceanCleanUp #KeepItBlue #WildlifeWatching

Trash haul for the day successfully completed, thank you Team Body Glove! #BodyGloveHawaii #OceanCleanUp #PlasticFreeOceans #KeepItBlue

Hawaii Spinner Dolphins are putting on a lively morning show after spending the night feeding off shore. #SpinnerDolphins #WildlifeWatching #OceanMagic #RespectWildlife #Dolphins

Good night Kona, hello Venus. #HawaiianSunset #VenusInTheSky #NaturePhotograhy #PlanetVenus #BigIsland

Dropped the hydrophone in the water to record some serious whale singing happening here! #HumpbackWhales #BigIsland #OceanLife #WhaleWatching #ProtectOurOceans #IslandParadise #WhaleKaraoki

It’s that time of year, and our winter resident Humpback Whales are right on time. #HumpbackWhales #BigIsland #OceanLife #WhaleWatching #ProtectOurOceans #IslandParadise

Yellow Footed Boobies, Red Footed Boobies and Blue Footed Boobies are attracted to my boat, sometimes even hanging on the boat for the 170 mile journey from the Big Island to Oahu. #birds #seabirds #hawaii #wildlife #birders

Good morning Kona, it’s going to be a great day!

Proof, there is a such thing as a free ride. These clever Red Footed Booby Birds are very clever.
