I feel like gaming websites and press just shouldn't even bother covering stuff like the Witcher 4 tech demo. Like seeing a character walk around in town in what is literally not the fucking video game tells us nothing and is absolutely worthless.

Not long until Deltaday.

Jingle Cats is a Japan-only PS1 game where you make cats fall in love so they'll sing songs for you. We've translated it for you to enjoy. youtu.be/jaJTUAeq04M?...

Just finished the newly translated Wonder Trek and it is an absolutely fantastic game. Great vibes, a wonderful sense of discovery, and a good simple environmentalist story. Anyone who loves PS1 games and nonlinear action adventures should give it a try!

IT'S LIVE!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZ95... Version 1.0 of the "Wonder Trek" English patch is now live! This was an amazing group effort by @vervalkon.bsky.social, @miniomega.bsky.social, PSXCraver and myself. Hope you all like it! #WonderTrek #FanTranslation #PS1 #Retrogaming

Formless Star is out now! Travel to a mysterious ever-changing planet and gather data on the animals that live there. There's 60 different creatures to find, all with unique behaviours and descriptions! Get the game for free (or pay what you want) here! splendidland.itch.io/formless-star

Only HPRshredder could do a 40 minute review of Doki Doki Panic without uttering the words Super Mario Bros 2. Big part of the reason why his stuff is a cut above most NES videos on youtube.

LET'S FUCKING GO BEST FPS ON THE PLANET!!!!

Surprise Saturn translation drop!! Mega shoutout to @gundamyaoi.bsky.social for all the hard work. :)

I think folks need to start looking at the timeline of video game history, especially the 80s and 90s, in the context of months, not years. I don't think people really understand how fast gaming technology and gameplay innovations actually progressed, both 2D and 3D.

I've been perpetually angry since they killed 1up.com

Ninja Five-O turning up on Steam got me thinking... www.pcgamer.com/gaming-indus...

Watching the new Gamesack video about good first stages and its so weird that every time Megaman X is mentioned you just get Egoraptor's Sequelitis regurgitated even still in 2025. No one is making youtubers do this, they just all naturally do it even if they dont mention the video by name.

Sometimes you bug friends for years to help you hack a dream game, but then as a twist hitomi2500 comes from another project and drops the whole script in my lap! We're finally translating Airs Adventure!! This game is such a beautiful adventure full of nonsense, I'm excited~

increasingly of the opinion that "quality of life" as a phrase is a red flag for somebody's gaming opinion in the same way that calling developers "lazy" is

I play the god of war games for their deep and rewarding combat

I love when I see people care about the accessibility of classic versions games but at the same time I feel like "EMULATE, YOU RAT BASTARDS" is like trying to get people to use their public library or something, just totally hopeless.

You can’t buy Final Fantasy these days. postgamecontent.com/post/7778139...

Not gonna lie, the answer to this (seemingly) being "they actually just don't, and do what the PS1 version did and make everything fit the old format retroactively instead" is kinda deflating me a bit lol. I don't think of that version when I think of THPS4 at all but maybe I'm alone.

Video game remakes must be stopped. What is even the point of remaking Tony Hawk 4 if they are ignoring how the entire video game works and just slapping in the classic 2 minute timer instead. Might as well just make a new Tony Hawk game if they are not going to do 4 correctly.

In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, the "Bungii!" microgame, where the player must let the Wii Remote fall, was designed specifically to untwist the Wii Remote wrist strap. It has special code that always makes it appear directly after microgames where the strap might get twisted.
