We gotta support more Black indie films. KATRINA (Short Film) Based off my stage play "When two desperate strangers find themselves trapped in an abandoned hospital that is on the verge of collapsing from Hurricane Katrina, they must recollect their memories to figure a way out before all is lost."

Anora getting nominated and winning for all the awards not just the Oscar because it humanizes “Sex workers” but P-Valley, which had beautiful writing, acting, and character development was paid dust.

All this Cynthia hate up and down the TL but soon as Doja Cat came on stage, people magically forgot that she said racist and anti-Black stuff online.

I heard that all Black soap opera show snuck in a white man love interest to the Black gay man’s storyline. Sigh.

As I’m doing research for this new book idea, man the south has some really cool folklore that should be explored more. Especially in the Alabama and Mississippi region. I know we know New Orleans, but there’s so many beautiful legends and folklore all the way up to the Carolina’s.

Some cool meetings next week and tuh. But ummm that Blood at the Root the TV adaptation is coming. Until then, watch the short film that inspired the New York Times bestseller. youtu.be/Vnt378BL-R0?... #Blacksky

Baby ….. Liza Colón-Zayas was ACTING on SVU.

Playwriting will always be my first love. I just sit at the computer and just late the characters talk.

Baby I’ve been sleeping on these T-Mobile Tuesday deals!! 😭😭😭 JoJo tickets secured with a discount!!

Liking someone is truly ghetto.

Baby that “I just turned my draft in lie down” hits different on this Friday afternoon. AC blasting and I’m rubbing my feet. Yes Lawd.

I still find it funny that some people thought I was trying to be funny by naming D’Angelo as D Low because it’s a play on his bisexuality. When I’m actuality, the character D’ Low inspired by an old childhood best friend of mine. So I wanted to honor him by naming him that. A lil fan casting tho.

Did I just email the first draft of BLOOD AT THE ROOT finale? I did. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Revising the final battle scene and I turn in the first draft into my editor.

Next on Hollywood Unoriginals:

Just sent my agent a book proposal for my next fantasy series. I hope he likes cause I:

One of my favorite character arts from my book. Just shows the generational power between grandmother and grandchild. I can’t wait to get more done. #Booksky

Excuse me while I go 😭😭 I try not to look at reviews, but when they actually come from actual teen Black boys, I listen. I wrote Blood at the Root for m them to see themselves in their fullness. To show the humanity and complexity of a young Black male teen. Thank you Malachi for this review!

One thing they don’t tell you when you hit your 30s is that this weight gon’ stick to you like glue. You really have to move your body 6 days a week just to maintain.

These Law and Order SVU episodes be so damn sad.

Whew idk him twisting his locs with his fingers and focusing.. My Gawd….. I would’ve been on that zoom call like “pause.”

Posted up at the Federal Bar in NoHo…

😳😳😳 revising this battle scene. And ummm, Haitian mermaids…???

They really awarding that Emilia movie over WICKED. This is insane.

If you live around North Hollywood, you might find this on car windshield. Heheheheher 😉😉😉😉

Keke Palmer is a Black Hollywood Starlet and I’m just damn proud to see this Black woman thriving. And that red hair is whewww😍😍😍

But what if we all just woke up one day and it’s 2005.

Now can we post videos that are longer than a minute and add that damn edit button!

One nerdy thing about me, I listen to acapella versions of songs to study them. And Tyrant is one of my favs. I’m trying to determine Beyoncé’s choices with each harmony.

I just asked one of my favorite actresses if she wants to attach herself to my script. Whew. Let’s see. Fingers crossed.

Y’all have all the think pieces when it comes to the Black girl music artists, but be praising the mediocre white singers…. And yall doing this during Black History Month????

“Just long as I’m the name on your tattooed heart….”

Thank you to all that’s donating! We got a director and I’m on a look out for venues all over LA. If able, please donate $5 today to our campaign to help bring this play to life! gofund.me/16dad633

For the “where’s the TV show” folks:

Secured a director! We’re forging ahead for a 2026 production to bring this production of Hattie McDaniel and her historic Oscar win to the Hollywood stages! My play ‘Boulevard of Bold Dreams’ coming soon. Spring 2026. Donate here: gofund.me/16dad633

Oh, the final email. 🥹🥹 the BATR trilogy is beginning to come to an end.

After several years of trying to get LA theatres to pick this play up, I just have to produce it myself. Please help me do that by bringing Hattie McDaniel’s play BOULEVARD OF BOLD DREAMS to the Hollywood stages 2026. Even if it’s $1,2,5 you all can help make that happen. gofund.me/16dad633
