I miss Teeth the Musical.

Surprise! I am honored to reveal that my next book (sort of) will be out October 7. Through all the traumas of my life, I have turned to vampiric media as a mechanism through which I can process fear and grief, while also manifesting hope that light will one day chase back the shadows

And so exits a controversial-yet-undeniable talent. Soaked in vinegar with a memory that preserved every song he ever heard, Paul Ford was truly one of a kind. His Oscar and Steve record with Mandy Patinkin is one of the all time best.

Please check out and support our queer vampire anthology, Blood, Sweat & Queers, which is partially a fundraiser for the @trevorproject.bsky.social www.indiegogo.com/projects/blo...

Happy Valentine’s Day! Editor @jamieisreading.bsky.social is teaming up with @itsmargarethall.bsky.social to release a collection of queer vampire love stories called Blood, Sweat & Queers! It will be a crowdfunded project that is partially a fundraiser for @trevorproject.bsky.social

This list could've been a thousand people long, but it was a pleasure to highlight 28 change making artists whose work has blown me away over the last five years. Give them their flowers!

An arts institution is not sustained by brick and mortar. Its foundation is the collective faith of artists and audiences.

Got way too into leg day while listening to GNX on Monday, and I'm now on day two of walking like an arthritic grandmother because my quads refuse to exit failure

I've got some exciting news coming out Friday, and it's pretty much the only thing propelling me through the thick fog of bullshit permeating everything else this week.

I know marketing books is a name game but I am begging yall to Stop Comparing Your Books To Harry Potter.

A menace 😂

Josephine Baker - George Hoyningen-Huene, 1929

Jumped back into S4 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer today, and y'all. I forgot how insane the college roommate arc is. What was happening in that writers room??

5 years ago, the base of my identity shifted because I refused to stop chasing after a light of inspiration on the horizon So grateful to this version of myself for her bravery in the face of the unknown, and to this eyeliner which miraculously held up through some serious tears Do what scares you

Braved the Hozier ticket gauntlet and came away victorious. Post-Tonys breakdown will now be delayed by an extra two weeks 🫡

I know a "schedule send" button hates to see me coming

Happy Imbolc/Brigid’s Day. I hope it brings us all new blessings of rejuvenation, fresh beginnings, and abundant and fertile opportunities for growth. The sun is on its way back, and in the light, I pray we may glimpse the truth ❤️

One of my goals for 2025 is to start reading for fun again, instead of always reading for work. I've been reading 5+ books a month for work, but it's been ages since I've read fiction. Gonna keep track of things in this thread, since people used to like my recommendations on the old bird site.

Me? Writing about Broadway audience behavior at the end of January? Historically fraught, but here we are again. Be respectful if you choose to stage door! Performers are people, not zoo animals!

Hozier really saw the state of the US right now and decided to throw the depressed queer kids a bone with this tour extension, huh? Can't wait to fight a war to get into the Boston gig.

Signed a new batch of GEMIGNANI stock at the Drama Book Shop. Find Paul and I right at the base of the book worm!

I have successfully replaced all but one step in my shower routine with something lime scented, and let me tell you, the steam cloud of citrus is about the only thing getting me through this month without developing an ulcer (Please let me know of any good lime scented sulfate free shampoo options)

Can't believe I have to say this, but if you're trying to place a story with Playbill, please, for the love of the gods, don't track down my personal phone number and call me on repeat in the middle of the night. That is like, an immediate fast track to the shitlist. 0/10 PR strategy. Don't do it.

Focusing on little sensory joys tonight, like changing around all of the little charms on my purses to make new jangle-sound combinations. The little rubber Tin Man makes the most satisfying-yet-subtle thunk noise.

I am a normal level of excited for this, I promise.
