Hey @remysharp.com - just noticed this site transcript.lol that's using your avatar for what I guess is a fake testimonial.

Remember when Stripe was the best new thing? Back when it launched it was only way to go to get paid for a SaaS.

ASRock made a Sonic motherboard?

1 week later - Took out my main domain yesterday by ignoring expiry emails til last minute. Had knock on effect of clearing the front page of all my sites that tried to load analytics from it! Lesson learned - auto-renew the important domains and set up alerts.

Would you adam and eve it? My chocolate egg is actually oval shaped. Our world is so messed up right now.

Fondly remember playing this whilst balancing a wide eyed baby watching on.

Help! I've realised quite how many videos I hesitate from putting online over the past year. I have a ton of unboxings/upgrades/restorations over the last while that don't really fit with with a software dev channel. Do I start a new place for these, with only 7k subs?

Think I may have done my finest work, switching domain registrars hours before it expired and fell into its grace period.

Woke to the sound of my what I thought was my trusty Pi 3 music server hissing and all signs of life lost. It was actually a dodgy power supply. Hurrah. The Pi lives on.

One of the weirdest checkbox transitions I've seen in a while.

Pinch, punch, no returns

It's my birthday. Was feeling slightly depressed about getting older until discovering I share my special day with Chris Barrie! What a legend.

This is a great explanation by Scott. A lot of this explains my reduction of output over the last year. My best stuff comes from things I'm excited to share about, the moment it becomes a grind it's probably best to shelve it. Also, I laughed so hard at the pro YouTubers comment 🤣

I made a site to show how long it's going to take to pay off a purchase based on your salary. timetopayoff.com Based on an idea in an interview by Simon Squibb Vibe-coded by lovable.dev

Whilst it's great to see all new audio models from openai, I'm kind of sad to see they're API-only and no update to whisper. openai.com/index/introd...

I used stackoverflow today. Like in the good ol' days.

Oh wow, this is a really nice showcase of animated react components from @davidwebdev.bsky.social: www.reactbits.dev

If you're using @supabase.com you can add a config file locally and instantly be exploring your data via chat in tools like claude, cursor or windsurf. 🤯 supabase.com/docs/guides/...

Someone write me a design system in jinja or Django templates. I'm fed up with having to convert them from JS.

Happy Birthday to my lovely wife. Here is a pic of a pumpkin she crocheted me for my desk. 🎂

Laravel's new Starter kits serve as a great example of sensible defaults that other MVC frameworks would do well to learn from: laravel.com/starter-kits

Is it me or are these AI coding tools better at frontend than backend? Premise being it's been able to 'source' frontends a lot more easily.

Wow, 16 years on and nothing has changed. Except now it might be a 30 strong 'agent' team?

Everything is crashing, twitter, stocks, government all broken

Made it to over 7k subscribers on youtube! 🥳

T1, T2 and Salvation are the only Terminator films. All the others don't count.

Nice to see postgREST get some love on @fireship.bsky.social www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JW7...

Depending on what you need from @supabase.com you can pick and choose which services to deploy from their docker compose. Happily running a simple dev setup with only postgres/postgREST.

NEW VIDEO: I picked up a bunch of Framework Mystery Boxes. Are the contents actually any good? www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbXz...

Rockin' a headless framework setup this afternoon:

I don't usually have a Netflix subscription, but every time I do I find so many series I've never heard of that look amazing before realising there's 5 seasons I'll never get through and not watching anything.

Where is the best place to rent a GPU server? Ideally a box with ssh access. I've tried a few places and none seem perfect in their own way.

Discovered last night that lovable.dev is rebrand of gptengineer, which I covered on my channel back in 2023! lovable.dev/gpt-engineer

Nothing beats starting the week knocking a major bug on the head 🐛

Super happy to see "Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl" win both the Baftas for best animated film and children's and family film. Very well deserved!
