A reminder.

All depends on what business one is in, I suppose :)

Pretty sure that's what we have been settling for.

I think I needed to hear this. It can feel a bit trivial to work on art for a whole evening (or 5) with no real purpose, other than it makes me a bit happier. When I share it, it seems to bring joy to others, too. I can't go full-tilt-fight-mode all the time. I need a break. You probably do too.

If you wanted to decrease the cost of homes, one thing you wouldn’t do is put a flat tariff on your main source of timber.

I've long dreamed of learning jewelry making. Having done sculptural metal in the past, it seems a miniaturized version in a sense- the very sense that I imagine creating. I've ordered a basic book-based course. Now to build up a small work space and start tool-gathering.

While much reporting has (with good reason) focused on high-profile appointees like Pete Hegseth, RFK Jr and Kash Patel, my colleagues at @propublica.org have looked into several key Trump appointees who have largely flown under the radar:

been making art, or at least doodling, allowing myself to make bad art, and having some fun with it. Here's a doodle in progress.

If you know me irl and want more rl find me over on me we. I've revived the old profile, and that's where the more personal goes.

Google said it will change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to "Gulf of America" and change Denali to "Mount McKinley." And I will be changing the name of Chrome to "Duck Duck Go."

To gain a little momentum, I'm'a start posting on Monday what I am reading. What are YOU reading these days? Everyday Zen (Charlotte Joko Beck) and Sirens of Titan (K. Vonnegut), both chosen for these times in which we live.

Hey y'all! Make an introductory post before you start willy-nilly following me! If you don't even have a description and you've made no posts, you worry me and might get blocked for no other reason than that.

Taking a weekend off and out starting tomorrow. I'll be back on here Monday late. Please don't break it while I'm gone (wo am I kidding...Mump will be sworn in. It's gonna be broken).

Four Days Until President Musk Will Be Sworn In

Thank you President Carter for your incredible leadership, legacy and life of service.

I know some of y'all love capybaras as much as or more than I do. In case you missed it, here's some important news for your Monday morning.

Masks in hospitals save lives. When masking is dropped - they saw a 25% jump in hospital acquired viral infections. When reinstated? A 33% decrease. It’s almost as though masking should be mandatory and permanent in hospital settings. www.medpagetoday.com/infectiousdi...

Know what to be thankful for...

Find each other, and hold on.

Blocking isn't censorship. It's just disinviting folks who are known for pissing in the punch bowl. Maybe some folks like the piss punch, but it ain't getting served at my house party.
