The best way to confront a bully about the misinformation he is spreading is to confront him in front of everyone. Macron just did that.

Republican Senator Thom Tillis takes a bold stand, breaking from Trump on Ukraine. He calls Putin "a cancer" and "the greatest threat to democracy." After visiting Ukraine, he declares, "Putin is a liar and a murderer" who authorizes torture and killings. "Anyone who visits will see this"

Damn 😂 Putin's manbaby blames Ukraine for being invaded

Whether it's Hillary Clinton sharing risotto tips on a private email server or Elon Musk giving full access to all government information to a nineteen-year old named Big Balls with ties to a child pornography collective known for its extortion techniques, both sides have played loose with security.

Some thoughts on 5 years since leaving the EU. Thread... The obvious bits: 1. It was a mistake 2. It's been economically damaging. 3. The process from 2016 catalysed a radicalisation of the British Right, the first flickers of which began during the Blair years/higher EU immigration. /1

I have a big ask. My 9yo son is autistic and he’s been raising a betta fish he named Kevin. Yesterday He asked if he could “share a photo of Kevin with the whole world“. I don’t know if this will work, but a dad’s gotta try. Like and share if that’s your thing. Kevin says hi! 🐟👋

Wow. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde fearlessly calls out Trump and Vance to their faces. This is heroic. (posting in 3 parts due to Bluesky's 1 minute limit)

The real "difficult conversations" Kemi Badenoch should be having about Elon Musk. Why the Conservative leader's refusal to distance herself from Elon Musk is an act of moral cowardice that should exclude her from ever regaining high office. bylinetimes.com/2025/01/06/k...

“Mr Speaker, just this week, X user ClassicalStatue45768 posted a call for the Prime Minister to commit seppuku. Forty-seven - yes, Mr Speaker - forty-seven voters, many in such desperate poverty that they can only afford underwear, liked the post. When will he comply with this just demand?”

Glorious morning in #Burgundy. Cold but crisp. Perfect weather for tasting #Chambolle!

One of my favourite Burghounds. The absolutely massive, but ever lovely and friendly Reglise at Domaine Sylvain Langoureau! #StAubin #Burgundy #legroschien

Always brilliant to take a wine back to where it was made to drink it. This was in the UK for 34 years before coming home. Lovely old strawberry fruit, still a little tannin, must have been very structured when it was young! Love these old bottles. At the brilliant #Maufoux in #Beaune. #Burgundy

Couple of good bottles in #meursault. The Vosne so silky and fine, I guessed a Chambolle. Then a fabulous Littorai, beautifully refined and elegant.

Second tasting, more 2022s at Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy. Delicious village and en Jouise, fine, elegant monopole Bossieres 1er Cru, then a really superb trio showcasing some of Gevrey’s top sites. Well done Philippe that was a very good line-up.

Great to be back in #Burgundy tasting the 2023s (and some late 22s). First off the 22s at Roty, and what a way to start. Superb line of pure, wonderfully fresh and perfumed wines. Pierre-Jean said despite the warmth it was a classic Burgundy vintage at the domaine, and I don’t disagree. #wine
