Sinners has a 600 year old Irish guy w/ a whole thing about ancestors & doesn't do one single song in Irish. Can't decide if it's a clever dig at his insincere use of cultural identity as a costume, or if I'm annoyed that we got Rocky Road to Dublin over Óró Sé Do Bheatha 'Bhaile.

It always is Some Doofus too. I have occasionally met dogs that could probably not be leashed. As in, a leash seemed to make no difference in the owners ability to control the dog. Very few dogs are that well trained to begin with, and it's never the "I don't need a leash" fools who have them.

In addition to Mr. Perry's point, being thoughtful about where you do spend your money can be at least as impactful as where you don't. You are a much bigger part of the bottom line for an independent artist or local coffee shop than for Amazon or Facebook.

Huge wave of anger and noise from the left is successfully communicating to elected Dems "business as usual isn't good enough, you have to rise to the occasion". One effect is more action from electeds. Another may be some the electeds saying w/ humility & grace "I'm not the leader for this moment"
