Window on the world

Sentinels on the prairie, they sit, slowly breaking down in the wind, rain and snow. Mechanical evolution I suppose.

Only cattle wander the ground now, not much of the memories, hope and sweat left.

The feeling that in the name of efficiency we lost the ability to make art.

I need some springtime. But I have to go shovel snow!

I think New Mexico is about my favorite place to photograph, there seem to be a historic building no matter where you go. It’s about time for another trip I think.

It was dry out here, a fallen out building and remnants of a stock corral. You could still see bits and pieces of the folks that were here. The main thing though was the heat, it just was so hot. Work, play or sleep mug have been hard. Strong people.

I saw this place on a bit of a hill north of Granada Colorado, it was a cold wind. Two Red Tail Hawks flew off the roof, it was a good moment in time.

My dad loved color, once good color film was available and he got a 35 mm camera I don’t think he ever took a black and white photo again.
